Cream Dory Fingers
As a mother of two school kids I now prefer to prepare their baon for school rather than giving them money to buy in school's cafeteria. My grade four son used to buy his lunch in school and for snacks they have cookies, sandwiches, cupcakes and even cereals for baon and I'm glad that the school prohibits junk foods and softdrinks for the gradeschoolers. We have this system of interchanging their baon for everyday but they got fed up of the foods I buy for them. That's when I began to think of viands for their lunch.This one that I prepared this morning is their favorite cream dory. They love the pan fried cream dory marinated in salt and pepper and coated in flour. I make dips for the dory which is a mixture of all purpose cream, mayonnaise, chopped basil leaves, chopped garlic, salt and pepper.Whenever I prepare this for them they ask for another serving of rice and they will still ask if there's left over because they want rice and cream dory for merienda.

Ingredient and Portion
1 pack frozen cream dory fish fillets
2 T. chopped celery or basil leaves
2 T. kalamansi juice
3/4 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 c. Japanese bread crumbs
canola oil for pan frying

Garlic Cream Dip:

3 T mayonnaise
3 T all purpose cream
1 T chopped basil leaves
3 segments garlic (chopped)
1 T sugar
salt and pepper to taste

1.Wash the frozen fillets in running water. Pat dry.
2. Prepare the marinade. Mix the kalamansi juice, soy sauce, chopped celery or basil leaves together add pepper to taste.
3. Slice the fillets into 1 inch thick and marinate in the mixture.
4. Prepare the pan in the stove, pour enough oil for pan frying.
5. Dip the fillets into the slightly beaten egg.
6. Drench in flour.
7. Fry in batches turning into both sides once a while.
8. Drain in paper towels. Set aside
9. Serve with the garlic cream dip
