Every time I visit Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, I find myself coming back to one thing: their shoyu ramen. It’s the kind of dish that feels like a warm hug—simple, soulful, and deeply satisfying.

The soy sauce-based broth is rich and aromatic, with a depth of flavor that’s both bold and refined. It’s not overly salty or heavy—just the right balance that makes you want to savor every spoonful. The noodles are perfectly cooked: firm, springy, and never soggy, holding up beautifully in the broth.

What really seals the deal are the toppings. The chashu pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the bamboo shoots add a nice crunch, and the soft-boiled egg is always spot-on with its creamy yolk. It’s a bowl that feels thoughtfully crafted, not just thrown together.

Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch or winding down after a long day, Santouka’s shoyu ramen never disappoints. It’s comfort food done right—and for me, it’s become a bit of a ritual.
