Enjoy Your Ride at Gerry's Jeepney
Upon arriving at Gerry's Jeepney Restaurant my reaction was "Wow"!! And my eyes can't stop looking at their decorations as you enter the compound of the Resto. The place was so inviting and tempting to take photos of every location. That was my personal experience i enjoyed looking at the colorful jeepneys parked in one row with different design and motif. They are also arranged per station like Biyaheng Cubao, Biyaheng Ayala, Biyaheng Alabang, Biyaheng Monumento and so on. Biyahe means route or your destination. It is really a design of jeepney that you see in the running in streets of Manila.
Jeepney is a trademark of Philippines since we are the first Country that manufactured and uses jeepney as means of transportation. If you ride a jeepney the first thing you will notice is the music, because of the common sound they play like top hits and medley. Next are the humorous sign that they always have inside the jeepney which made the people enjoy riding.
Here in Gerry's jeepney they also have that the only difference is that they have table and serves food for customer. The food they serve depends on the biyahe or destination that you would like to ride. Once you enter the Compound the first thing you will ask is " May biyahe ba" or Is there a ride available? If they aay yes then you are privilege to eat inside the jeepney but if there is no jeepney tables outside and inside the resto ate available. Then they will ask you how many are you dining in? Some are willing to wait just to have a ride and experience eating inisde the jeepney.
we experience riding the Biyaheng Ayala it's a Boodle Fight serving wherein tje food is served on a banana leaf and all the food are arranged according to it's place. Rice at the middle sorrounded by the array of dishes mostly grilled. No spoon and fork so you will eat with barehands. Wow that will make me eat a lot since i cannot measure my rice. Our boodle was consist of garlic rice, grilled pork, grilled fish, grilled eggplant, salted egg with diced tomato.
They have additional dishes that you can order ala carte like the sisig, binagoongan lechon kawali which is so delicious and I personally enjoyed eating. All of the food served was so good and will make you come back for more. Eating inside the jeepney is a lot more fun and a very memorable experience. I also tried their puto bungbong, they also have a small sari-sari store where you can buy candies and other stuff. Who would not try The famous dirty ice cream.
The location is very accessible since it's at maginhawa st. teacher's village at the heart of Quezon City.
Thank you Mr. Jerry Javier for the wonderful ride. I love the experience and looking forward another ride.
