We went into Buffet 101: International Cuisine with high expectations for weekday lunch. I left the buffet without much breathing space left but not totally satisfied. I was looking forward to a selection of quality steaks, but unfortunately they didn't have any as the carving station was quite limited.

I scoured the place for some noteworthy food and here's what I think of the all-you-can-eat dishes at Buffet 101.
My favorite part of the buffet was the seafood grill because you can see that they had fresh produce available. You can really see the nice, beautiful meat of the fish just tempting you try them out. They had some delicious scallops, prawns, and salmon which are some of my favorite seafood. It's easily the best section for me and I kept coming back.

The sushi and sashimi from the Japanese cuisine section were also pretty good, but I didn't appreciate the fact that they did not have any yellowfin tuna at the time. The salmon was delicious!

Here are some of the other food sections in Buffet 101.
The other dishes were pretty ok. I also tried their Chinese and Filipino dishes but nothing really stood out. I tasted around 5 full plates (one plate had 10 scallops, YUM!), all meat. I didn't get a lot of carbs because that's the secret to beating a buffet.

Here are some of my plates for the day;
For dessert, the panna cotta was quite good and I also had a bit of ice cream (tasted store-bought not home-made). I wasn't happy with the fact that their brewed coffee machine was busted, they should have a spare one just in case but that's alright

In short, I think Buffet 101 is a pretty good buffet but it isn't Niu, Vikings, or Yakimix. I had high expectations that were just not met. I don't think there were enough waiters around, so the service score suffered because of that. The place, though, it actually quite beautiful but it was a bit too crowded for my taste.

Food Quality: 3.5
Service Quality: 3.5
Ambiance: 4.0

Overall Quality: 3.5

OveralI think Buffet 101 is the type of buffet that offers variety over quality. I would like to have much more quality dishes from them, but they didn't deliver. Maybe it was because we went here for lunch, so let's see if I can go back to review dinner anytime soon.

Cheers,
