Troika is a Russian word meaning “a set of three.” The restaurant was so called as conceptualized by three young entrepreneurs Edward, Inez, and Denn Marc, this triumvirate has truly come up with a perfect place for relaxation, good food, and more! Each has their respective part in running the business but they all agree on the one thing – to offer good food in a comforting ambiance.
Dine, Paint, Chill – enjoy their great lineup of dishes; they serve cocktails and beer for those who would like to unwind, and feel like a Picasso as you twiddle a paintbrush on canvas. Most importantly, the calming vibes of the place will definitely make you feel most welcome. The place is also an art gallery featuring artworks from different local artists.
As you enter the restaurant, you are sure to feast your eyes on the interior with the decorations aplenty but artistically spaced and wait till your order is served.
Served on a small rectangular frying pan, the Mozzarella Bacon Bomb is as delectable as its presentation. As you cut this dish open, the aroma of cheese and bacon permeates and invades your sense of smell. It is nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside with bits of real potatoes mashed manually in Troika’s kitchen, for Php140 this is a sure treat!
Edward is the king of Troika’s kitchen; with his vast experience in restaurant management, his cooking style reflects passion and creativity. Another artistically presented dish by Troika’s chef is the Grilled Chicken Pesto, good for two at only Php150, this is an amazing bargain! Every al dente strand of this pasta dish is coated with Parmesan cheese and freshly prepared pesto sauce. The wonderfully seasoned grilled chicken on top is a perfect compliment to the pasta that is amazingly not too oily as compared to other pesto pasta dishes.
Their lemonade is prepared like 007’s martini – shaken not stirred. This truly refreshing concoction is made with fresh lemons and a subtle share of sugar. So all the amazing zest of lemon is ever present with every sip.
If its burger you like, then Troika is ready to serve you on a chopping board their Troika Burger – 200 grams of pure authentic beef patty that is lightly seasoned, topped with caramelized onions and bacon bits. At Php170, the Troika Burger comes with fries and garlic mayo. As you sink your teeth in to this savory burger, the patty explodes with incredible beefiness that is sure to satisfy the biggest of hunger. A definite must try, this superb dish can be good for two!
This hole in the wall encourages customers to interact with the place, the staff, and among themselves. So do not expect a Wi-Fi connection. Recently launched last May 3, 2015 and located in Sampaloc, Manila, the store is expected to get its boost of customers as the school year starts.
