If you are looking for a café along this gastronomically baffling area, Caffera is a place to visit. This place is a landmark not only because of the nice eats and coffee, but also because of the unique concept that will definitely awe your fancy.
What started out as a group thesis grew into the famous café it is today. UST buddies Gabriel Valero and Kevin Yu conceptualized the idea of putting up a café with a twist – they garnered numerous criticisms from their peers and professors but their spirits persevered.
To afford their thesis project, the group started selling snacks and anything they can get their hands on to raise funds, they even ventured into t-shirt printing. The group’s effort is a testament to the notion that education alone is not a guarantee to success; it has to be sustained with hard work and dedication. As Gab says, their focus is not to compete but to enjoy what they love to do – and thus on September 14, 2014, Caffera was conceived.
Caffera will bring sparkle to a photographer’s eyes. The place is speckled with cameras of different sizes and ages. Their beverages are whimsically served on a camera lens turned coffee mug.
