The UP Economics Society and Barangay Teachers Village East held Foodgasm Goes to Maginhawa along a closed strip of the Maginhawa Street. The organizers put up four event highlights: the Bazaar, the Food Tasting Competition, an Eating Contest, and a Concert capped off the evening. The successful foodgasmic event was held last October 17, 2015 with over 3,000 attendees, 8 media partners, 17 corporate partners, 15 organizational partners, 7 performers, and 80 bazaar tenants.
The event aims to highlight various food businesses whereby 40 Foodgasm participants were given the chance to showcase a few of their best bite-sized dishes on the Food Tasting Competition judged by 16 food bloggers, 4 chef judges, and the event attendees. The dishes vary from appetizers, breakfast meals, burgers, pastries, special beverages, desserts, and more.
We have selected our own Top Picks as well: Churros by Sancho, Hangovurger by Big B, Beef Kebab by Mandi Persian Grill and our top choice, the Honey Bagoong Wings by Griddle – juicy chicken meat with a really strong delicious zest. The flavor was so captivatingly strong that I reminisce its aroma with a smile on my face. The best part about this is, the dish is served while it is still hot.
After the final votes were cast, the following restaurants have earned the hearts of the flock of hungry foodies in attendance. Congratulations to the Foodgasm 2015 Winners! Great job and we’re looking forward to seeing them on our next foodie adventures.
