Steaks at Sizzling Plate Baguio City
Smile 2013-11-27
Our good friend who treated us on his birthday in Tagaytay invited us to go to Baguio! It was actually our first time to go there and I can just imaging the dining places there!

He first took us for dinner at Sizzling plate in Baguio City

 Sizzling Plate

The restaurant has been sizzling their way to hearts of visitors and locals who've been patrons of the plate.

   T-bone/Porterhouse Steak

   Garlic Steak

We ordered the T-bone steak and Garlic steak which is really affordable and delicious! The prices are so affordable, you don't think you're ordering Steak! I do think the steaks here are sourced locally that's why they were able to maintain their pricepoint.

No desserts for tonight as we were already full after eating ALL of the steaks. lol

There are actually 3 branches of Sizzling Plate, one in SM, Carino, and Session road. The main would be in Session road. They also have no service charge.

Sizzlin Hot ;)

Last night we decided to eat at Sizzling Plate. Me and my Cousin ordered barbecue for dinner. This one is tasty and you can taste the fact of being grilled. These don't have the fat part in the end as what we all use to eat. It is all pure soft meat and so delicious. Nice menu of Sizzling Plate.

Sizzling Plate Baguio – Nothing beats their old si

Sizzling Plate Baguio – Nothing beats their old sizzle!

Sizzling Plate has always been a favorite place to dine at Baguio City, It has a homey feel with garden pots overhead, all around, and you get to dine in an open space without worrying about the heat—it’s Baguio!

I ordered a T-Bone Steak – it definitely filled the entire plate! There were veggies on the side and crisp fries. There was definitely no space for the rice. I just loved that it was soaked in gravy. This sizzling marinated prime beef was so sinfully delicious. I finished the entire slab of meat with two cups of rice.

My friend ordered Sizzling Boneless Bangus, which also filled the entire sizzling plate. It had a slice of tomato, veggies, and crinkle cut fries. It was huge and its smoked flavor was divine.

Thanks, Sizzling Plate, Baguio! smile

It is timely to crave for meat during cold days- and sizzling or grilled chunks of meat in Sizzling Plate is the best food to eat at Baguio City.

For 150 and above you'll have a sumptuous meal already.

They cater different kinds of steak like tenderloin, t-bone, pork chop, filet mignon, rib eye steak, sirloin, salisbury and many more.

All served with java rice and iced tea.

Sizzling Plate Baguio!
Smile 2011-05-29
On a spur of the moment trip to Baguio, we found ourselves walking along the famous Session Road in search of ukay ukay items. While walking back to SM City Baguio where we parked the car, we saw a long line of restaurants and realized that at 8pm, we were so hungry!

We decided to eat dinner and looked for a restaurant worthy of our hunger. After a couple of minutes, we saw Sizzling Plate and decided that the smell of the place was too delicious to ignore!

Getting inside, I was told by the lady guard that there were no seats available and if we were willing to wait. Since we were first in line, we deiced to sit down and wait for a table. After less than 5 minutes, we were shown a table at the back.

I ordered the porterhouse steak with rice (you get to choose between an order of rice or rolls) while my husband got the barbecue. Our friends ordered the pork chop and sisig.

We all got free soups (cream of mushroom, yum!) and a cup of rice. My favorite part was pouring the gravy in the hot plate and watching all the smoke come out! My steak was good, I ordered it cooked medium rare. The pork chop and barbecue sticks were aslo good but the sizzling sisig was BAD!

The sisig looked like an order of mechadotongue They put bell peppers on it so it did not taste anything like the sisis we were used to in Manila.

All in all, we had a great time and the food was good. It's just a bit hot inside with all the smoke coming off the hot plates smile

Diner Lunch at the City of Pines
Smile 2010-12-15
Me and boyfie just had a great vacation at Baguio where we consumed some of our leave credits and a part of our bonuses. It has been almost a decade since I was last there but I can still remember the places that's why I toured boyfie around for his first time there. We arrived at our hotel, Holiday Park, at around 1 in the afternoon and our bellies were already grueling. After checking in and dropping our bags in our room, we immediately decided to grab some lunch somewhere nearby. But where to? Then we saw Sizzling Plate just a few steps from our hotel and we easily agreed to have our bellies filled right then and there. And we were not mistaken. The place was really cozy. Non-smokers that we are, I appreciated the fact that they indeed partitioned the tables and have the smokers area situated near the windows. After taking our orders, they provided us with Mushroom Soup (I think it's the Knorr one). For the main course, we had their famous Sizzling BBQ, Tenderloin Tips and Java Rice. Everything's so-so, but what made it special is the sauce they gave along with the dishes. It compliments the fries, veggie sides and the meat itself. We had Mango Juice for drinks and finished it with their homemade Sansrival and Choco Leche Flan. Food costed around only Php 500 for two people.

Nothing beats their old sizzle
Smile 2010-04-18
This is one restaurant you cannot dare miss at The City of Pinesbowl
Their steaks are tender, fresh and very very meaty, you can choose whether you want it medium rare or well-done. The restaurant serves complimentary vegetable soup (usually corn and mushroom soup) before the main course is served. The steaks are served with a small amount of java rice (who needs rice anyway? the steaks alone can serve as a complete meal already!) and fresh buttered vegetables. The potatoes they serve are seasoned with pepper and salt, they have the "mountain-earthy" taste and I think that makes eating in this institution in Baguio worth every centavo. tongue
