Cold Weather, Cold Beer
Smile 2013-11-21

My officemate and I facilitated a training in Tagaytay. After our dinner with the participants, we decided to sneak out and chill at One Destination.

We decided to seat on the roof top area of Kon Tiki because we find the lower part quite noisy because of the bands singing. We both just want to relax and unwind and have few bottles while feeling the cold breeze of Tagaytay. She had san mig light while I had my flavored beer. We both enjoyed this moment and both was able to sleep fast.

Kon-Tiki
Smile 2011-11-14
Tagaytay is a perfect get away place from the busy city of Manila. My college friends used to go here because it’s near in our school (DLSU-Dasmariñas in Cavite). We’ve decided to have a get together at Kon-tiki in Tagaytay. Place is fabulous and foods and drinks are great and affordable. We enjoyed it even more because of the cold weather. The place is very inviting plus the acoustic and the whole interior. We had our mixed drinks that boozed our night. We really had fun and enjoyed much our night at Kon-Tiki.

May's Birthday!
Smile 2011-08-30
It was a great experience dining at KON TIKI located in Cavite One Destination, Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City. I was with my friend MAYLEEN DELA PAZ when we went there. It was then her 20th birthday and we thought of a little hang out for her. lol

The place is very comfortable for a barkada hangout. Though it was quite far from MANILA, the travel time is worthwhile. Adequately ventilated. The prices of the menu are all budget free, so no need to worry of anything!.

The night was filled of lots of joy and fun. Thank you to Kon-tiki!

Road trip to Kon Tiki
Smile 2010-10-14
My bestfriend and I have been planning to go out to have dinner but it never happens because we were both busy. Then finally, one Friday night after work.

our dinner was set already but instead following the original plan, we ended up going on a road trip to Tagaytay. We left Makati at around 8pm with just our bags and the clothes that we were wearing and invited a couple of friends and our boyfriends.

As soon as we got to Tagaytay, we looked for a place to eat. We were all craving for Bulalo and we wanted a place that is overlooking. So finally we found a place to eat, it was called Kon Tiki Bar and Restaurant. It was small but looked like a great place to eat and we went straight inside next to the railings where it is over-looking. Although all you could see was darkness and bits of light here and there and the foggy weather it was a great spot, except for the blistering cold. As it was a spontaneous trip, we were not prepared, we were not able to bring Jackets haha.lol

Next, we checked out the menu and see what to order. With luck they have Bulalo which was good for 3 -4 persons. Then I ordered soup and other dishes were ordered.

Our orders were:

Bulalo - a soup dish with a bone marrow of a cow. The fat or whatever it's called, inside the big bone is the best part. It also had meat and lots of vegetables and refillable soup. It was delicious, just right for the coldness surrounding us. Good thing it was served with a lid or it would have gotten cold so fast.

Chicharon Bulaklak - not really sure but I think is the intestine of a pig which is deep fried. This dish goes very well with vinegar.

Buffalo Wings - our original plan to order before we decided to go on a roadtrip. It was a little small but it was delicious.

Pork Bbq - they sell it per stick. It was sweet and delicious and not tough to eat at all.

Cappuccino Mushroom Soup - yup you read it right. It was Mushroom soup with cream on top. The cream was a sweetened which complimented well with the mushroom soup.

All in all we had a blast, enjoyed our meal and had an awesome night together.
