W@wies and N@wies at Vikings
Smile 2013-11-27
My wife and I joined this group called Weddings at Work or W@W which was founded for the purpose of creating a community of soon to be newly weds where they share experiences on suppliers and on planning the wedding itself. Now, since all of them were already married, the group is now called Newly Weds at Work or N@W. Members are of course aptly named W@wies and N@wies.

 The W@wies

The event was organized by one of the members and was a small get together of how are things for members of the group. Most of the people who went there were just the wives with the exclusion of us and another couple.

I'm using my wife's camera pictures so you can see she has a talent in capturing excellent pictures especially desserts and pastries.

   Desserts

   From the dessert station

   More desserts

Aside from the sumptuous desserts, they have a ton of other food items like sushi station, hot pot, dimsums, and so much more. Their buffet selection are almost endless and people line up for it.
It happened to be a W@wie member's birthday so we celebrated her birthday as well here.

Vikings now has several branches aside from this branch at MOA. They have a newly opened branch in SM North Edsa, The Block. Buffet is an instant hit among families and friends who like to spend much time as possible at the table eating and chatting with friends and families. It is now the norm among food enthusiasts to indulge in buffets.

Start the Week Right!

I love Vikings, I love it even more when it's free! I had won a spot in our team who gets to eat at Vikings for free. We had met our quota and the producers were treated at Vikings at Mall of Asia branch. Even though it was far from my house, I still went because it's Vikings lol

The place is huge, food is partitioned in different stations and we were seated at the near the back. We were near the dessert station but there was enough time for that later lol

I surveyed the food and decided to start off with the miso soup from the Japanese cuisines station. They serve the soup in a pot with the top acting as the cup for you to easily sip the soup from. The pot helps keep the miso warm for several minutes. Several of my team mates followed suit and got their own pots lol

   Miso Soup

   Sushi and Sashimi

   Hot pot ingredients

I also sampled their sushi and sashimi since it's a must try for a buffet. It was good enough but I can't help to compare it with the other branch since it seemed better and fresher there. We also tried these hot pot ingredients that were skewered on sticks and placed in boiling hot water. They have an assorted of seafood balls and cubes which was good and healthy too! I also got the caviar and paired it with the small pancakes. Caviar is really a treat for me since it was Beluga and really amazingly good. Too much might give you a tummy ache though so I controlled my caviar servings lol This branch is good, they have a huge selection of different cuisines but from experience, the other branch is better lol

Vikingly good

   Stir fry Pancit

Vikings boast a wide range of food selection that even a Viking will not be able to consume in one seating (hence, the name; IMO). The rate is relatively affordable, or competitive if you compare it to other buffets that have limited or lesser food choices. Still, you may wanna expect a little damage to your budget between 700-1000 pesos if you dine here.

Buffet At Vikings
Smile 2013-10-05
The name Vikings seem to be misleading because there's nary a hint of Nordic touch in this restaurant. On the other hand, the buffet spread of this restaurant is so extensive that you will feel as if you are dining in a hotel, but at a more friendlier rate. The location is also advantageous since you can shop at the nearby mall afterwards.

Its really a visual feast. I had a hard time choosing where to attack first.

Should I go for the salad or the Japanese section? There's also tons of dimsum! Its so hard to decide ...

Then there's seafood for grilling or whatever dish you have in mind; just tell the cook and he/she will prepare it for you.

Some of the dessert.

But this is what I love best --- the green tea yogurt ice cream. Very delicious and you can actually taste the yogurt unlike other ice cream that pretends it has yogurt.

Vikings is a perfect restaurant for me. You can see the Manila Bay throuch its windows. The buffet here was so good. I love everything they served here especially the seafoods fiesta. The shrimps, the crabs the different kinds of fish was so amazing. I can definitely tasted like i was at the sea eating seafoods because they always served the foods fresh so i'm very happy to experienced that. Although my pocket was not so plenty as other guests here, i will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Viking's truly a great buffet restaurant there's no doubt to that.
it's definitely worth the price you will pay because there's so many different kinds
of dishes you can try here again and again.

You won't get sawa because they have so many cuisines
from japanese, american and other famous cuisine around the world.
it's like you're travelling from one country to another. the food tasted really good
and has that feel of authenticity

So last time, what i had on my plate is like a globe. pieces and bits of different
famous dishes form different cuisines. what i enjoyed the most this time
was Japan's fmaous maki rolls. I cant even remember how many
times i went back to the station because of the richness of the maki. it was thick
and it has fresh fillings. truly delicious.

Number 1
Smile 2013-04-20

We reserved a table for us about 5 days before and we were reminded to get there early. When we arrived outside of the restaurant there were already a lot of people waiting, some luckily had reservations while others were placed on the waiting list. We became more excited because this meant that this buffet was really good because it had great support and feedback.

Up to this day, I still say that this is the number one on my most favorite list of buffets. They have excellent food and service. They offer unlimited international dishes, a variety of drinks and almost every dessert that you could think of! I think we even ate more than what we payed for! tongue

Grand feast
Smile 2013-01-18
I simply love going to Vikings because of its vast array of choices. From Japanese to Chinese... they have it all. But the best part of being here is the unlimited steak! I'm a small girl with big cravings. Vikings simply does know how to cook their steak. Plus their gravy is sooo good! Pair this with mashed potato or some of their pasta and you have gotten yourself a happy tummy.

Visiting Vikings
Smile 2013-01-08

Every buffet must have a sweet ending and this is where the dessert corner comes in. It is full of goodies every person would love.

It is the dimsum corner. There are a lot of hakaw and shark's fin and even siomai here for your liking.

Who would not want some Chinese herbal soup? It is actually good for your digestion after eating too much in the buffet.

Sukiyaki is one of my favorite soups of all time. You have to love how you can celebrate your birthday at Vikings and you would get a special discount. I love this place.

Celebration of Sorts
Smile 2012-12-27

I was curious what Viking's has to offer that makes it stand out from the buffet restaurants in the metro.

I read online that Viking's has taken on a mission to served Scandinavian's "Plentiful" theme buffet.

   Go Large

This restaurant was not kidding when it said that dining at Viking's is like participating in a yearly foodie festival of sorts. I love fish but when it is this big it makes my eyes grow bigger. What a better way to celebrate with friends and family during this Christmas season than to dine at this place.

Everything I want
Smile 2012-11-22
What I love about buffets is that they have everything already. There's no chance to be picky because all that you'd ever want or crave for is already laid out in front of you. I also love the fact that it's not as expensive as those hotel buffets.

What I love most about Vikings is that they have unlimited supply of Xiao Long Bao! It may not be as good or as authentic as the pricey ones out there, but it really was something to look forward to. I would always fill my bowl with these and I would gladly go for 2nd and 3rd helpings.
