Price Php 120 for Oyster Vegetable Cakes, Php 155 for 100 grams of Crab Maritess
Description Flaky seafood cakes made with oyster bits and vegetable cubes. The Crab Maritess are crabs cooked in oil and garlic.
Personal Review Night out in Tomas Morato and we wanted to try the Red Crab. I've been to the Seafood Club in Greenbelt before and really enjoyed their buffets, especially the crab dishes. Here we ordered ala carte items to share. For appetizers, we got the usual Baby Squid Sisig and the Oyster Cake (something new). The sisig was good, really tender baby squid and sizzling hot! The oyster cakes were average, could have used more oysters since I can't taste the seafood, more vegetables and flour batter.
I wanted to order crab because I like to wear the apron

It's so cute and even has the Filipino poem, Alimango sa Dagat. Since I already knew that their Steamed Crabs are delicious, we tried the recommended Crab Maritess. It was crabs steamed and stir fried with garlic and oil. Sure enough, we all got some aprons, yey! Hubby was too macho to wear his apron.
The crabs came and the presentation was really cute, the crabs were all stacked together so it looked like a spider crab. We got the female crabs of course to have more crab fat or aligue. They say too much aligue is bad for you but since we rarely get to it eat, we figured it was okey.
The crabs were steamed to perfection and the taste of the simple garlic and oil brought out the seafood freshness of the crabs. They already cracked the legs for me but usually they would give diners nutcrackers so you can crack it yourself. But since my hands were oily, best to have the legs pre cracked for you.
Love Red Crab, a bit expensive but just the right place for the freshest and tastiest crabs.
