I initially wanted to try the Dragon's Breath variants, but they ran out of it; so, I went for the Ice Creams. I don't wan the regular Ice cream so I ordered the Amarula Ice Cream.
"Amarula is a cream liqueur from South Africa. It is made with sugar, cream and the fruit of the African marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea) which is also locally called the Elephant tree or the Marriage Tree. It has an alcohol content of 17% by volume. It has had some success at international spirit ratings competitions, winning a gold medal at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amarula
I actually haven't tried the alcoholic beverage yet, so I did not know what to expect.
The staff made the Ice Cream as I was watching. It's amazing how adept they are in using liquid nitrogen in creating the treat!
They served me the dessert in a ceramic cup. I actually like the taste of the Ice Cream, and probably I'd like the Amarula liq on it's own.
I look forward to trying the Dragon's Breath Ice Creams next time.
