Tong Yang Hot Pot

Here's something new (at least to me) at Tong Yang... They have a bigger array of desserts already! I didn't know that! I have always thought that tong yang had the usual old buffet desserts, like fruits and some jelly of some sort. But when I saw the ice cream section and the other dessert selection, I got really excited. Everyone had a great time enjoying the desserts and we'll definitely come back for more.

Pangz and I celebrate our monthsary here again in Tong Yang Hot Pot located at Jupiter St., Brgy. Bel-Air, Makati City. Since we first ate on this restaurant we make sure that we will come back here again. We enjoyed great food here and we had a great time because it only costed us five hundred eighty pesos for a buffet treat that you will never forget. All dishes that you wanted are all be found here and you can enjoy cooked dishes and most especially the shabu-shabu experience was great and the smokeless grill experience is unforgettable. You can enjoy food at your own style of cooking and the great part is they are all unlimited, just make sure that there is no left overs coz they will surely charged you per grams and most especially with their seafood dishes. If you're looking for a place where you can enjoyed great food and while enjoying your own cooked dishes. The place always filled with customer all week around.

I haven't really gotten to try much of these hot pots, but when I got the opportunity to do so with my family, I was so excited.

The place can get really crowded during dinner time and it would be nice to have a reservation ahead of time. It was actually fun to cook your own food, but it has the tendency to all taste the same (well, at least for me). But the price was worth it.

If you love Shabu-Shabu then you should really try Tong Yang Hotpot. They have a branch in Jupiter, Makati and for only P500++ you could enjoy a grill and shabu-shabu buffet. They don’t have a wide variety of choices unlike other buffets but they do have delicious hotpot offerings.

You can choose what type of broth for your hotpot. From there, you could cook your seafood, meat and vegetables. For an additional fee, you could also have a grill all you can option. If you want to feel like a chef for a day then you can try this restaurant out.

This type of buffet and/or hot pot has been around ever since I was a kid. My dad loved going here because of the shabu shabu style and the buffet is definitely worth his money, as he would say.

For me back then, when I try cooking my food, all of them would usually taste the same. But it was still good. I still had a great time picking the raw food and waiting it out till it gets the golden brown color.

This very interactive way of cooking has been entertaining to me when I was a kid... and I still enjoy doing it now.

Personal Review: Another payday weekend and my wife wanted to try eating outside just “for a change”, she said. So, off we went to Tong Yang together with my sister in laws to try their All you can eat buffet. There were a lot of choices compared to other restaurants that we’ve been to. There are sea foods, sweets, sushi and many more. Since it was a Sunday, there are also a lot of people in the restaurant so we have to endure the noise and the jam pack place. Anyway, the staffs were friendly enough to reserve seats for us so kudos for their excellent service, foods and price!

I had another buffet experienced at Ton Yang. This time, I was with my family. Tong Yang offers a wide variety of foods. You can create and cook your own food. It’s a shabu shabu style and also you can grill foods. We tried sea foods. We also tried desserts. Just to give you a tip guys, better come early or reserved a table ahead of time because it’s always jam packed. We really enjoyed our Tong Yang experienced. It’s worth to visit!

Everytime we decide to eat at a yakiniku style restaurant, we end up in a buffet resto. It's just so worth the price you pay compared to spending the same amount and leave your stomachs craving for more.

That is why, we ended up in Tong Yang-Jupiter one night while we were in the mood for some cooking!I just love Tong Yang's idea of yakiniku and shabu-shabu.. it's like a one stop shop for everything you want to eat.

Beef, Pork, Fish, Veggies, Shrimps. dimsum, Sushi, noodles, Desserts.. You name it, they got it.

It was a crowded night when we arrived and we had to wait for about 20mins before we were given a table. Here are some of the photos of their food choices:I could say that Tong Yang really have a variety of food selections. Plus you also get to enjoy shabu shabu while grilling. Talk about hitting two birds in one stone!

It's my first time to eat at Tong Yang with my family – a family day! It is like a Korean restaurant wherein you can grill and cook food at the table aside from the hot pot. We were so very lucky that my mom knows how to cook. There are lots of food choices like seafoods, shabu shabu, different kinds of vegetables, street foods (such as squid balls, kikiam, fishballs, etc.), meat, mixed vegetables, and a lot more. The food is so delicious. We chose seafoods, meat and some favorite street foods. The restaurant ambience is good, you’ll surely love it. My whole family had a great time and we are planning to get back there again.

It was already 4:30 in the afternoon but still we didn’t even take our lunch, and my stomach is starting to growl badly as in nakakahiyang halata na talagang gutom na ako. But then some of my friends is not yet hungry and wants to sing. And they are already starting to look for the nearest videoke. But then, I was so hungry and already irritated by that time. Until suddenly, we pass by to this resto so there you go. Hello china and hello world.

We decided to eat first before singing. Wow! The food were all very appetizing even if its still in the drawings... Hhahahaha malamang di pa kami nakakaorder. So we just ordered their specialty, of course the shabu-shabu. Kaya ayun more we just splurge our eyes and stomach and feast to the food. Buti nalang apat lang kami. But still we ordered twice. HAHAHAHAHA katakawan nga naman talaga oo.

Ooops Before anything else, It’s SHABU-SHABU not the prohibited drug ok. Stupid!

At the end of our experience, we were all satisfied and promised to ourselves that we should go back here. Not only to try again their shabu-shabu, but to look for their manager. I’m not sure if he’s the manager. But anyway, we will still get back to that place. PROMISE!

we have celebrated our reunion here at tongyangs and it is definitely the best place to be. the value for your money is equal to the lavish food you can eat and enjoy. You can almost eat your heart out for the unlimited beer, unlimited halo halo, unlimited ice cream, pork barbeque...etc...
