Good Ol' Fishy
Smile 2013-11-04
It was my Mom's late birthday treat and she wanted to have it at Somethin' Fishy This place is a family favorite. Where else can you take a large group on a limited budget and yet have a delicious buffet AND a good time? We were early for the dinner service at 6pm but that was ok since they tend to have a full house by 7pm. We all had the buffet dinner and the band sang us a few songs. They also had everyone singing Happy Birthday for my mom =) Plus a few Katy Perry songs as I requested lol

The soup for the day was the creamy seafood bouillabaisse, which is a favorite. Rich and creamy stewed seafood that included clams, alimasag and shrimps. We sampled the fresh sushi and sashimi too. They even started to slice us fresh salmon as requested lol The staff are very friendly and move fast. Since the tempura was as usual the dish that they easily ran out, they served us a couple of baskets at our table lol Good service, good food and very affordable prices.

There really is something fishy here.
Just OK 2013-06-09 (Related Review)

We were in Eastwood for dinner but we could not decide where to eat. It was already 8 pm and we haven’t chosen yet. We were so hungry so we decided to just pick the obvious choice, something’s fishy. I filled up my plate with squid, seafood kare-kare, crablets and many more. I’m not into Japanese food so I didn’t eat any except tempura. After a few minutes, I realized that I lost my appetite. I didn’t like any of the dish aside from the squid. The crablet is my favorite but it seemed like it was cooked hours ago so it wasn’t crispy anymore. I decided to just try the desserts and fortunately I liked the strawberry ice cream crepe.
So if you don’t like Japanese food that much, I don’t recommend something’s fishy buffet. It was totally a waste of money for me not to mention it was expensive.

Break the fast, slowly
Smile 2013-06-06
Alright. So, my coworker Mike and I decided that since we're too early for our shifts, we should just make use of our spare time and spare tummy space with what we do best -- eat! So we went to Somethin' Fishy in Citywalk.

They have more than 20 dishes for the buffet breakfast costing only 170Php (+60 for refillable drinks). I love the cold cuts, and the arroz caldo. I also got my tummy filled with pinoy dishes like adobo, tapa, tocino, etc. They also have pinoy meryenda staples, waffles, pancakes, champorado, etc.

Just eat a lot, and slowly, and you'll be able to satisfy your cravings in this place. I like that they have all the basics, except for bacon. I would definitely go back time and again if I have time and cravings.

Somethin' not too pricey for breakfast-all-you-can
Just OK 2013-06-06
If you're looking for a place where you can eat all you can all you want at a very affordable price, then Somethin' Fishy is the place to be. For only PhP 169.00 you can eat your heart out (beware of your heart especially if you love their tapa, which I do). Feast on their pancit, biko, pancake, siomai, tocino, hamonado, palitaw, mami, chicken pops, scrambled eggs, at kung ano ano pa. And did I mention their tapa? Notice how I mentioned their menu in a not so fashionable way? Coz that's how I eat there, just take anything and everything.

Somethin FIshy Eat all You can
Smile 2013-05-12

I definitely had a great time with my friends the last time we had dinner. We ate at
Somethin' Fishy in Eastwood Citywalk , Libis, Quezon City.

It was actually a very good choice to eat at Somethin’s Fishy. Aside from the very accessible location, they really offer delicious treats. We all enjoyed their eat all you can services- both for Filipino and Japanese cuisines.

For 599.00, you can already enjoy their culinary delights. I would also have to commend their impressive services.
Somethin Fishy is such a must try!

Breakfast buffet :D :D :D
Just OK 2013-03-26
Awesome breakfast buffet.

This place rocks. I mean it is located inside eastwood and has a breakfast buffet that opens at 12MN
and closes at 10am.

Okay, for the food is is quite generic breakfast fair. Important to note that one should be here around 7-8 in the morning. If you arrive late, they don't quite replenish the food anymore. At around past 8, thats the last time they refills stuff. Anyway, As for the food, starting from the right to left of the buffet area.
Soup is available. Then there are 2 kinds of rice plain and fried. Siomai is found and even pancit and lumphia shanghai and of course scramble eggs. Sardines, bangus, tapa, longanisa, ham, adobo are served. There is also champorado. For dessert, they offer french toasts, pancakes and waffles plus a few kakanins

here are my plates...

Anyway for the price it is okay. The taste is somewhat generic but considering everything well.. thats that.

Something’s Fishy is truly a good place to dine in. The last time I went here, I was with my friends and I can say that the experience was totally awesome.

All of us enjoyed the dishes that we served. Aside from the very affordable rates, I would have to commend this dining place for offering a good service- an impressive one.

The ambiance is also outstanding as well. It’s well ventilated, neat and clean.
If you wanted to visit them, you can find them at Eastwood Citywalk , Libis in Quezon City.

I am sure that you will not regret coming in here... and that, you will have a very satisfying meal!

My husband and I meet at Somethin Fishy to have our dinner together and we were surprised that even during weekends (that was a Friday night) there were only a couple of customers so we won't have to wait to be seated. Anyway, the staffs are all friendly and we were served our food in no time. We have enjoyed it naman, masarap ang mga foods dito.

Midnight breakfast at somethin fishy
Smile 2012-10-24
Rejille and i just finished bowling at a eastwood mall. It was already 11:40 pm when we decided to go for

the midnight buffet of somethin fishy. Rejille knows that it is much cheaper when 12am til morning strikes

because it will only cost us about 169 pesos. I still have no idea of what food they'll be serving at that

hour so we proceed to to that restaurant. We saw that they have prepared a new set of breakfast menu

that is as good as the night buffet. smile

They have a lot to offer such as german franks, siomai, lechon, shanghai, sauteed sardines and so much more.

Rejille and I just can't get enough of the food there and we barely came out alive because of the process.

All their food is delicious and well prepared for the customer to enjoy. We'll go back here at somethin fishy

to try again their foods. smile

When I’ve heard Somethin’ Fishy…
Just OK 2012-10-10
I am certified seafood frenzied plus a certified foodie. Whenever I hear a good restaurant from a friend, I will ask any probable question as foodie to help my inquisitiveness stirring especially when it comes to a seafood diner. Here in Philippines, it’s hard to find a seafood restaurant that serves fresh seafood. When honey told me about this Somethin’ Fishy, seafood and grill bar restaurant in Eastwood, Libis my curiosity started to itch. It’s like the title says it all.

I was also informed by honey that they have promo from 12 midnight up to 10 in the morning. You can avail an eat-all-you-can breakfast buffet for only P169! It really is something fascinating! But of course whenever I plan to pay a visit to a buffet restaurant I make it a point that I have ready myself. I need to get hungrier than a person can be, because it is an eat-all-you-can, you should enjoy the food and make it worth it!

   Somethin' Fishy Logo

As we arrived in Somethin’ Fishy, I am astonished that it was an enormous place than I thought it was. We came there around 5am for a very early breakfast. I think the diner can accommodate up to 200 individuals. We were approached by a waiter and started to offer us the promo which we have already known. However the P169 per person is excluding of a drink, thus the waiter offered us a drink-all-u-can for only P60 which you can change it to Coca-Cola, sprite, coffee, tea and juice or whatever you want as long as you already finish the first glass. And then the waiter gave us the signal to start to grab our food.

Since we were here for a breakfast promo, I didn’t expect seafood on the buffet. I was overwhelmed with the varieties of food that were prepared. I am not good when it comes to an eat-all-you-can particularly when it’s morning because I don’t eat breakfast on time.

I just took something that my stomach can manage to eat. From the time I was informed about this diner, honey bragged how the beef tapa tastes good that is why I gave it a try. I also grab siomai, ham and their version of fried rice. The beef tapa was great; it has a mixed flavor of sweet and saline. It was also well cooked, not overcooked or underdone, credit of course to honey for a truthful review. smile The siomai was not as scrumptious as the other siomai I have savored but it was not bad at all. The ham was cold and I don’t know why it was cold, like it was just come out from the freezer, perhaps to preserve the freshness of it. The fried rice was just okay, there was nothing special with the taste.

Sorry for the blurry picture, I took it with the flash off.

   Beef tapa

After eating those food felt like I am full already and can’t take any more load. So I asked honey to take our break and be prepared for the next batch. Hehe

As we ready for our second batch we took our desserts. They prepared Filipino delicacies such as palitaw, maja blanca, a local pan cake, biko and etc. I won’t argue with the delicacies, because it was taste really good. It’s like something that I think Filipinos were good at.

   Palitaw, biko and maja blanca.

   (:

The one thing I noticed about the diner was the atmosphere. I observed that the place was not clean as the foodie expected it to be. I saw an insect wandering around the table and the smell of the place was not good. It smells like an old restaurant that has been abandoned. I also noticed that walls were discolored and marked with some dirt which is not good. I hope they can do something about it as the smell can affect the taste of the food.

But above all, it was a very cheap breakfast buffet that I ever had. Imagine if only I am a person who can eat a lot and enjoys the buffet, P169 was not bad budget at all. smile I can say that I am still want to visit them again for the regular buffet which is worth Php300-Php400 per person and taste their luscious seafood that the diner was known as.

Somethin' Spectacular
Smile 2012-09-08
I have tried the morning buffet at Somethin Fishy before at around January 2010 and the dishes weren't that great. Fastforward to 2012 and I've been hearing great praises of the buffet. So when my birthday came I decided to treat my friends at the morning buffet and was I glad Somethin Fishy revamped their morning buffet to somethin' spectacular lol

 promo

   presentation is great

   baked ham!

Back in 2010 the buffet cost php 159, 2 years later the morning buffet got a price increase of 10 pesos but a whole lot more of dishes. Somethin Fishy's morning buffet offers a wide variety of the morning ulam we all love and eat. From the tapa to the tocino and even dishes like adobo and scrambled eggs are all here. Like any buffet they also serve pancit canton, lumpiang shanghai, palabok, longganisa and even siomai. And the the not so usual dishes like fish fillet, chicken pringles, and most especially the baked ham. But what makes Somethin Fishy's morning buffet so worthwhile is that all the dishes they serve taste great!

   dessert area

   local desserts

Another thing to mesmerize on the morning buffet's menu is that they also serve things that normally aren't seen in a buffet. They offer beef mami, arrozcaldo, champurado, bibingka, palitaw, and other filipino delicacies. There are also some western desserts like waffles, pancakes, loaves of bread to name a few. These items' flavors can even be enhanced because there the buffet offers different syrups, sprinkles and even an oven toaster. Somethin Fishy does not hold back in quantity and quality of the dishes they offer.

   my top picks

   great dessert

So here are my top picks and I'm glad I treated my friends here. I am not only famished but had a great time. lol

Looking for a great deal? Well try Somethin' Fishy's breakfast buffet at Eastwood Citywalk , Libis, Quezon City. Me & my client truly enjoyed their breakfast buffet for only Php 159.00 they serve a wide range of Filipino breakfast and filipino food that will fill your tummy early in the morning for their breakfast promo from 12 midnight up to 10 in the morning. I enjoyed their pancit canton, siomai and lumpiang shanghai and it was so yummy and I kept on coming back from the food trays and I also enjoyed my dessert - banana Waffles with chocolate toppings and it was superb. That time they only had a few guest and it was so noticeable coz the place was so huge. This was a great experience and it was so budget friend as in to the highest level! Somethin Fishy
Smile 2012-07-27 (Related Review)

Something’s Fishy has been one of my favorite restaurants in Eastwood Citywalk , Libis, Quezon City. They have lots of culinary delights to offer and they never failed to satisfy my cravings for seafood dishes, as well Filipino cuisines. The last I went here I was with my boyfriend. It was after watching a movie when we decided to have our dinner on the said restaurant. If you have not been here yet, I would recommend for you to visit them and try their Fresh Oysters, Grilled Swordfish Steak and Tuna in pesto. Damage to the budget is usually 300.00 to 400.00 pesos per individual but it is worth it!

Something's Fishy has lots of culinary delights to offer. They mostly serve Filipino cuisines, especially Filipino seafood dishes. I decided to try it from the recommendation I have heard from a very good friend. You can enjoy these delicious treats at a price range of 300.00 pesos to 400.00 pesos per head. I also have to commend Something’s Fishy in Eastwood Citywalk , Libis, Quezon City for its fast and very impressive customer service. I wanted to try their other dishes but I did not get the chance.
