Filipinos can't live without rice. Rice in the morning, rice in the afternoon, rice at night, rice for dessert or what ever
you can think of lol. Well, Sinagag Express serves unlimited Java Rice and it is quite affordable although not all of their meals are that good.
I've been there three times already and I only enjoyed one meal, specifically their Boneless Bangus. I have tried three different dishes in this fast food restaurant:Boneless Bangus (Php 75.00)
- perfectly cooked, goes very well with their Vinegar and Java Rice. Not too salty for my taste and the fish was not dry at all.Tuna Sisig (Php 65.00)
- well, somehow it says it is a "Must try" for me, I think its a "Must Not" lol. The reason being, it was just tuna from the can literally, that was just placed in a sizzling plate and added some tomatoes and onions and to think of it I love tuna.Salisbury Steak (Php65.00)
- on my last visit, I wanted to order their Boneless Bangus. Unfortunetly, it was not available so I tried out their Salisbury Steak, which was another failure. The meat somehow tasted mushy, and the gravy was a little bland and the egg sort of had the raw taste and lacked salt.Tapsilog (Php70.00)
- my boyfriend always orders this, and well we both like it. It taste like your typical tapa and it was not hard or gummy to eat, although the egg was a little cold, like it was just leftovers.
Not a really good dining experience for me, not even for everyday lunch meals plus the place was uber! hot. They did have electric fans and aircon but they were all useless and the tables and chairs are not stable, you have to move really slow in order not to let the table wiggle and end up having soup or beverages on the table. I guess people dine in at this place because somehow it is affordable and they have unlimited rice.
