Reunion at Pasto
Just OK 2013-11-29
I had a reunion with 2 of my best buds from my previous work at Pasto Italian Cafe in Eastwood City last summer. We specifically chose this place to spend our catching up time because we thought that this is one of the restaurants in Eastwood where it's conducive enough for chikahan. We liked the ambiance, service and, of course, the food. We ordered pizza, pasta and salad which we all enjoyed.

Pasto
Smile 2013-01-20

I definitely had a great time dining in at Pasto Café located in Eastwood City Mall, Eastwood City in, C-5 Road, Libis, Quezon City. They have lots of culinary delights to offer and they mostly serve Italian cuisines. I would highly recommend for you to try the different flavours of Pizza because as you will have it through the meal, you will surely get not disappointed.

Aside from the delicious treats that they offer, I have to commend the service that they serve. It was fast and there’s no need for you to wait for a very long time for your orders to be served. Anyhow, I would definitely come back and here. Maybe, I’ll try their Pasta!

Perfect Pasta
Smile 2012-11-18
Italy - the land of pizza and pasta. Every foodie like me who loves Italian food would want to go there but, rather than spend a fortune on plane tickets, I had dinner on Pasto.

I ordered their Marinara - a delicious mix of al dente fettuccine and seafood in tomato sauce. I love the taste especially since it had a hint of spiciness. The sauce was also great since it did not have that artificial tomato sauce taste. Another good thing about this pasta dish is that the seafood did not smell or taste fishy (malansa). This is certainly how Marinara pasta should be cooked like. This is how it should taste!

So, after tasting their Marinara, I realized that Italy can wait. A touch of it (and it's delicious pasta!) can be found right here in Eastwood!

Because the name PASTA is too mainstream :)
Smile 2012-08-21
Rejille asked me if we can eat at a restaurant that her friend jenny suggested. The restaurant is found at eastwood

and it is called Pasto Italian Cafe. She really wanted to go there so that we can eat at a new restaurant and

also go to redbox after. We both love pasta so its a no brainer that we would go in a restaurant such as this one.

We decided to go there in the weekends and as expected there are a lot of people just waiting to taste the food of

Pasto. We quickly scanned at their menu and ordered the food that we wanted. smile

We ordered the same pasta dish which is the garlic-cream carbonara. It is made of linguine pasta with smoked

bacon and mushrooms topped with garlic-cream of course. The pasta is really good and the creaminess of the sauce

complements well with the bacon and mushrooms making it tastier and yummier. The garlic is not really overwhelming

in the palate. The price for this pasta this is two hundred and twenty-five pesos. smile

My own score:

Taste, quality, quantity: 4.5- i really like the taste of the pasta and there is no question of the quality of their ingredients.

The quantity may be a bit meager than I would expect it to be but overall a great pasta dish.

Price: 3.5- if your looking for a dish to satisfy you completely, this is not it. But if you just want to experience great tasting

food, this is on the top of the food list.

Service and Ambiance: 4- Great service and elegant ambiance that defines a true Italian restaurant. Bravo. smile

Italian lunch with workmates
Just OK 2012-07-29
There are thousands of Italian Restaurants around the city and most of them claims to have an authentic Italian experience. Honestly, only a few tickled my Italian cuisine fancy. Ive tried dining in at Pasto in Eastwood City to check if the claim is true or not.

I notice that the interior is cozy and welcoming and I love the chic and cosmopolitan design of the place.

Now on to their opulent menu.

Bianca (Php265) - Pizza with pesto, cheese and different types of seafoods such as mussels, shrimp and clams. Two thumbs up!

omano (Php345) - Crusted chicken breast with spinach and roasted mushrooms in a Gorgonzola cream sauce served with fettuccine.

Parmigiana (Php 325) - Chicken breast stuffed with smoked ham, spinach and mozzarella topped with parmegiana sauce on a bed of penne pasta

Genovece (Php255) - Capellini with shrimps, arugula, pesto and pine nuts in a tomato-cream sauce

Overall I cannot really say "wow" to their dishes. Those were typical pasta and pizza dishes and theres nothing really to rave about. I would still consider going back there some other time but I was not really that impressed.

 Menu on their front door

   Frutti di Mare

Price: P 265.00

Description: Pasta with seafood and white sauce

Personal Review: I invited my long-time friend and former classmate to a meet-up at Eastwood. Since we’re older, I call her “mare” and she called me “pare.” So, we’re a bit surprise to see on the menu the Frutti di Mare and we gave it a try. It was a good find, thanks to my mare and the Frutti di Mare. The seafood were abundant and it was delicious.

Pasto Margherita
Smile 2012-06-12

 Pasto Bar

 Pasto

   Gamberi and Margherita Pizza

Price Php 235 for Gamberi and Php 195 for Margherita Pizza

Description Gamberi Pasta is made with fettuccine noodles with whole shrimps, asparagus and tomatoes. Margherita pizza has tomatoes, mozzarella and basil leaves.

Personal Review Pasto is one of my favorite restaurants in Eastwood. I love their pizza selection. We were there for lunch and decided to get one pasta dish and one whole pizza. There were only three of us which is why our orders were few.

For the pasta, we ordered the Gamberi Pasta since it had two of my favorite things, shrimps and asparagus! Next we ordered the Margherita pizza since my daughter wanted a simple cheese pizza. Pasto is known for their delicious 12 inch, thin crust, oven baked pizzas.

The Gamberi pasta has fettuccine noodles that were al dente. The shrimps were sauteed in garlic and perfectly cooked while the asparagus were blanched just right so it still has a crunch to it. This pasta dish is good for one person but since we had a pizza, we were able to share it.

The pizza arrived next and we ate it while it was still warm. It was loaded with mozzarella cheese and good smelling basil leaves. I removed the tomato slices for my daughter and hubby was only too happy to eat it for her lol

Pasto restaurant is spacious and clean. They even have their own restroom for their customer's convenience.

get together!! :)
Just OK 2012-03-07
Finally after 10 years, my blockmates at Miriam College during our freshman year had our dinner get-together. We had our dinner at Pasto Eastwood since we all agreed to meet half way. We ordered pasta and pizza but to our dismay we saw a hair strand on our pasta (not on the photo) then we called the attention of the manager about it. Yes, the management offered to give us a new one but the same kind of pasta that we ordered then all of us didn't even touch it that we've decided to just have it take out. Until now, we're still all hesitant to dine here again. sad

Girls Night Out
Smile 2011-07-21
My friend recently arrived from Singapore for a 2 week vacation. It's been almost a year from the time she left and started a career there. Few days before she goes back to Singapore, we decided to have a Girls Night Out minus the clubbing. And since we all came from the north, everyone agreed to meet in Eastwood City.

We decided to got to Pasto because we wanted to have pizza and beer. I'm pretty sure that we'll be chatting the whole night so might as well have a good food and a cold ice beer to go with it right? At first, I was a bit hesitant because my first experience with Pasto way back in their Greenhills branch wasn't that impressive. I felt that the price doesn't go with the taste of the food. I felt that it was overpriced for an ordinary pasta but now. . .my experience was so much different in a positive way.

We started with their pasta selections. I ordered white sauce pasta because I know my friend loves white sauce over red sauce. So what's the famous white pasta in the world? You got it right. . .Carbonara. It's got all the works, smoked bacon and mushroom topped with their garlic-cream sauce. This wasn't the first time I ate Carbonara but it seemed different with the others I've tasted. It's creamier but not too thick. I guess it was the garlic cream that they used because the ones I had, tasted “milky” cream.

What goes with pasta? Of course, pizza. We ordered Margherita Pizza. Well, it's a classic Italian pizza topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil served in thin crust. Honestly, I'm really a meat lover but my friends aren't. I thought the pizza was good for two people only because I based it from the price. Pizza was less than 200 bucks so I thought, in a fancy place like this, portion would be minimal. When it was served, I was shocked. It was 12 inches thin crust pizza and it really looked so exquisite. When I had my first bite, wow, I never thought non-meat pizza would taste so delightful. I tried Margherita pizza before from other Italian restaurants, I mean there aren't that bad but I'd usually go for meat, pepperoni, buffalo chicken you know all the works but with Pasto's Margherita Pizza, I'd definitely recommend it to my friends.

To complete our meal, we ordered ice cold San Miguel's Flavored Beer. I've tried this few times now and I really liked it. I recommended it to my friend who came from Singapore and she liked it too. We ordered different flavors so we could check which one tastes better. Well for me, lemon flavor complimented the pizza and pasta that we ordered.

I never thought that we would have so much fun just hanging, eating and drinking. Before, we usually go to bars, drink and dance until dawn but now, I enjoy this more. Catching up with old friends with good food to go with it.

   Margherita - - Yum!

   Garlic Cream Carbonara

Pizza and Beer - - Perfect Combination

Pasto Pasta!
Smile 2010-12-15
Boyfriend and I tried out Pasto Resto located at Eastwood City Walk. The pasta serving is big enough for a person especially to women. It’s a good thing for the guys’ right? XD They offer Italian food particularly pasta as well as pizza and salad.

The place has a good ambiance and nice interior. It’s a casual dining place but really looks elegant. The price of the dishes I think is just right for its quality and size. The staff was also kind enough to attend to our needs without delay.

The pasta were good but I don’t prefer such red sauce type of pasta unless it’s a seafood one.
