I have been eager to visit Nathaniel's Bakeshop because of what I've heard about this diner. I've even done my own research just to indulge my curiosity. What caught me off guard is when I saw pictures of celebrities visiting the diner every now and then... I am guilty with the fact of buying products that involving my favorite celebrities. Sadly, I can't post pictures from Google since I don't own the copyright of whoever uploaded the pictures. However, thanks to my photographic memory. In the pictures I saw from Google, celebrities who often visit the diner are Vice Ganda, Jimmy Santos, Jose Manalo and even Ms. Kris Aquino. Which I find it more interesting.
It was luck or a fluke that I had chance to taste their best seller. I was on St. Francis Square when I saw their stall at the 2nd floor of the said mall. At their stall, they sell kakanin, siomai, snacks and salad. What caught my attention is the Buko Pandan salad. It really looks yummy on the picture. And there was this "Ale" who told me that the one I'm looking at is the Nathaniel's best seller. The Buko Pandan salad is in the ice cream container just like the other ice cream products. The price is a bit pricey, P250 for half gallon. So I wonder if it's worth the price. I can't wait to go home to judge it by my own sense of taste. And yes, it was indeed worth the price! I'll let you know how it taste later.
And finally, the journey to Nathaniel's Bakeshop has been happened! Since I have an appointment somewhere in Quezon City yesterday, honey and I decided to drop at Nathaniel's Bakeshop. It was a good idea since we're already there. From Mother Ignacia St., we took a tricycle going to Timog. It only cost us P25.
King of all Siomai!
Have a bite!
Since honey and I took our lunch before we came here. We decided to take light orders. We just really want to see the diner in action. Hehe. We ordered 10 pcs. of siomai for P95. Sorry the picture above were only 7, we already ate the 3pcs. LOL It was really delicious with of course their signature chili sauce. I can eat it with rice and make it my "ulam".
I'm not on a diet, so I ordered Barbeque Liempo for P120. It was good with its sweet sauce. I also appreciates its carrot-corn-and-bean-salad, this maybe my first time to see it with Baguio beans, usually it is garnished with green peas. It's a good combination though.
Creamy and Tasty!
Lastly, the dessert. We never want to skip this chance to again taste their best seller! Nevertheless, we only ordered 1 cup for each of us. Since, we still need to watch our figures. LOL Since, I don't have pictures of Buko pandan that I told you on the above, I thought this is the best way to describe the taste of it, of course with pictures! As you can see, the creamy part of the salad is one of my favorites. It is really creamy and tasty. It's like a spoon of heaven wherein you could escape the world in a minute. I am not over-acting here, but it is what it is. It is delicious as it does in picture. :-P
Brain Freeze!
If you're going to ask me how was the ambiance, it's not as fancy as some of fancy restaurants out there. Most especially, it is actually a bakeshop where you can buy goodies like cakes, ice cream, puto and some other kakanin. It is typical dine in place for foodies like me. The very unusual thing that you will notice here are customers who walks in and out of the door with their bags of goodies containing gallons of Buko pandan salads and Buko Pandan juices. And that led me again to my curiosity to order my Buko pandan juice(P50/bottle) (which I took out and drink at home.) hehe It is indeed worth my curiosities. It really pays to listen to your guts.

The ambiance
It was really a pleasant journey. We maybe came from the other side of the city, still our journey is priceless! I would never think twice to visit the Nathaniel's Bakeshop for my next journey to heaven on Earth to relish their other mouthwatering food!
