It was our Company's Christmas Party and it was held at Metro Bar in West Avenue, Quezon City. It was a Saturday. Usually, our party falls on a Friday. But since it was a Saturday, the place was not filled compared to the last year's event.
Since the place was only half full, it was easy for us to fall in line. Apparently, they have two different buffet tables meaning the food is different from the other. I was already able to check out the other table and was able to choose what buffet table I will fall in line to. I picked the one with porkloin and baked spaghetti.
My plate consists of baked spaghetti, porkloin, chicken, lumpia, and buco pandan. I didn't get any rice because I thought that I could get a bigger serving for the baked spaghetti. Unfortunately, the server bluntly said "no."
The porkloin has mashed potato in the buffet table but the server didn't give us any mashed potato. I didn't argue anymore because the line was getting longer. And to add up, I didn't like the taste because it doesn't have any.
As for the chicken, it was bland also. I don't even know what or how they cooked it. The Lumpiang Shanghai could have been good because the sauce was unique. Instead of the usual sweet chili sauce, they used like garlic mayo. However, the Lumpia is no longer crunchy because it was exposed for a long time.
The Baked Spaghetti was the only good in that buffet. It is cheesy and full of flavor but the serving was so small.
The Buco Pandan didn't taste good. It doesn't have taste also like any of their food. It was a good thing that we didn't pay anything for this.
