I was strolling in Greenhills trying to find a good and affordable mobile phone when someone gave me a flyer about Masuki. I know this restaurant from Megamall but I didn't know that they have a branch here. I remember that they use to offer free meal for children and that we tried their noodles before. I tried it again and it didn't fail to impress me - cost and taste wise their foods were delicious and affordable, perfect for budget conscious mom like me. We will definitely be back here for more of their foods on their menu. Love it!

Yummy Masuki

Do you love authentic Chinese food? I do. So it’s no surprise that I tried out Masuki. A college friend introduced me to this restaurant since he knew how much I love authentic Chinese food. I was like a giddy child who gladly obliged.
He told me to try their pork la mian and giant siomai, so I did. For drinks, he told me to get their black gulaman. Masuki’s pork la mian is different from the normal noodle soup that other Chinese restaurants offer. Their noodles come with a special sweet sauce which you either pour and mix in your noodle soup or just place on the spoonful of noodles you’re having for the moment. I prefer to do the latter; I’d like to maintain the soup clear. The sweet sauce kind of tastes like siopao sauce. You might think it’s weird, but you’ll be surprised that it tastes good! The sauce complements the noodle soup, and it adds a different twist to the dish. The siomai, on the other hand, is really huge. That’s the reason why they serve two pieces only. If you order more, I don’t think you’ll be able to finish your meal altogether. The black gulaman is really good, even if its bottled. I love how it’s not too sweet, and the jelly bits are just right. It also complements the whole set of food we ordered.
Masuki keeps a low profile, both on ambience and on price. The place just has tables and steel chairs, and the receipt’s just written on paper. The price of the food is really affordable. My friend and I didn’t spend more than Php350 on the two sets of meals. This is why I give Masuki a thumbs up. I’m definitely coming back for more.
