Pancake Cheesecake
Smile 2013-11-08
A sweet dinner date with hubby... He surprised me by taking me to Maple. I thought we were going to a hotel, it's that classy lol Maple serves all day breakfast items. I ordered the Blueberry and Cream Cheese Tower of pancakes to share with hubby. He loves blueberry cheese cake so this was perfect. It's called a tower because it's made up of six thick and fluffy pancakes with blueberry jam and crem cheese spread in between the pancakes. Of course they serve this with maple syrup but as is, the whole thing was perfect! It wasn't weird to eat pancakes made from cheesecake fillings or toppings. It actually works. The sweet and tartiness of the blueberries were balanced by the fluffy pancakes and the cream cheese. A bit too much for one person though, I was able to eat approximately three pancake pieces before hubby took over lol

The Ultimate Breakfast
Smile 2013-10-31
A lot of my friends were suggesting that I should try at Maple located in Makati since they know how crazy I am with breakfast dishes. I attempted several times but I ended up not going there because it's far and it's quite expensive. One time, I was able to experience it...finally...and here is what I have to say.

The place was very nice. Well, it's not a shocking news because most of the restaurants here are pretty classy. lol

   Eggs Benedict

I ordered Maple's signature dish Eggs Benedict. This consisted of Canadian bacon, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce served with crunchy country fries. It was superb. I love bacon...who doesn't? It tasted fantastic with the poached egg and fries.

However, I still find it expensive. I can say that it's worth it because the place is beautiful and the service was good but if I crave for breakfast food again, there are a lot of restaurants near my place that I can depend on. But I'm glad I was able to try it. smile
