Super Big Burger
Smile 2013-12-06
This burger may look just like any other burger in town lol

But wait. . . .

You see how big Mama Chit's burger is. This burger is good to share and the taste of the burger is extra-ordinary. The vegetable in it is fresh, the patty is juicy, the bun is soft and the dressing has the right mixture of sweetness and sourness. I certainly can say that I'll be back in this restaurant soon

Mama Cit's for Birthday Girl
Smile 2013-10-24
For my daughter's birthday, hubby and I did not go to work so we can spend the whole day celebrating her special day. After picking up Clarice from school in Marikina, we dressed her up and started the search for the famous Mama Chit's Burger Place.

When we found the place, wow the place was packed. It was even causing traffic because they had no parking slots. Hubby let me get off so I could order and save a table while he searched for a parking space. I waited for about 10 minutes before I got a table. Mama Chits is a self serve joint. You line up to the cashier to order and wait for it to be delivered to you. Pay as you order policy is followed. We ordered 3 Mama Chits Cheeseburgers for only Php 100 each! We also got a couple canned soft drinks to share lol

After less than 10 minutes, a waitress delivered our foil wrapped burgers and cans of soda. We had to ask for cups with ice as the cans were not cold. We also asked for a paper plate and knife so we could give our daughter a slice of the burger. Unfortunately, they only give paper plates for pasta orders sad

The burgers were H-U-G-E! I had to flatten it to fit my mouth lol I was able to finish the whole burger because it was too good. The patty is well seasoned with thick slices of cheese and fresh cut veggies. My daughter finished half of the burger, an amazing feat for an 8 year old lol The other half was devoured by her daddy. Food is amazing, best to commute or be dropped off because of the parking issue. Service is not too good given the situation where we asked for an extra plate.

Mama Chits also offers pizza and pastas but their burgers are the ultimate must try!

Rainy Afternoon at Mama Chits
Smile 2012-07-26
I was longing to have this girl chat with one of my bestfriend Tara that rainy Sunday afternoon and since she is from Marikina, I then decided to take advantage of the fact that we can sample one of Marikina's cozy restos. That day I chose to meet her up at Mama Chit's.

I wasnt sure on what to order that time and their menu, even with just a few items to choose from didnt really make it easier for me to decide. But since I was craving for burgers and fries that time, I resolved to order Mama Chit's Cheeseburger and fries. Unfortunately the fries is not available so I chose the Mojo's instead. My friend Tara on the other hand ordered Mama Chit's Spaghetti.

Mama Chit's Cheeseburger (Php 85) - I was expecting a commercialized burger patty for their cheeseburger but to my surprise, it was juicy and tasty and I am guessing that it is home made. Not bad at all.

Mojo's (Php 75)

Mama Chit's Spaghetti (Php 100) - If youre a lover of sweet spaghetti then this one is a winner. Serving is also quite hefty. smile

The food that we ordered were actually more than enough for the two of us. We were wanting to order something for dessert but we were too full to do so. Its also a very cozy time to chat after that good meal and so we transferred to their al fresco tables to continue the chika's. We ordered brewed coffee while we spill out our chismaxs. smile)

Mama Chit's is a very nice place to hang out at and from that time, me and Tara decided to make it one of our Marikina tambayan spots. Too bad they don't serve beer. sad

A Cafe Beside a Bike Store
Smile 2012-04-27

I often pass by this place on my way to my gym, and I never bothered to eat here. My brother however, who likes to try anything new, heard that Mama Chits serves a plate-size burger. So one afternoon, we decided to satisfy our curiosity and ordered their giant burger and their pizza.

The burger was huge, meant to be shared by several people.

The bun must have been specially baked for their burgers and in fairness, it was freshly baked and soft. The burger itself got mixed reviews from my family.

My mother says it was too huge to bite while one brother said it was just so-so. Personally, I liked their burger because it catered to the Pinoy taste. Note the thick bun and thick patty which was paired with the usual lettuce, cucumber and their special sauce.

The pizza, on the other hand, was not my favorite.

I did like the crunchy thin crust but there was nothing different with the toppings. But it was not bad either. I give it 3 thumbs up.

Lemjay's Departure!
Just OK 2012-03-26
My boyfriend Lemjay spent the December holidays here in the Philippines and today is about time that he'll be going back to Singapore where he works. His mom and dad suggested that we try to dine at Mama Chit's because the place has a vintage feel. When we entered the store, my boyfriend, his siblings and I were stunned by the old things kept there way back 1960's or 1970's then we all looked like a kid that we kept on looking at the photos hanging on the walls. We ordered burgers and pasta for our lunch but unfortunately we were all hungry that we forget to take pictures before finishing eveything. Oh we've got a banana split picture before the ice cream melts.

60 Review(s)
60's and 70's
Smile 2011-08-31
It was after the SUNDAY MASS at Our Lady of Abandoned Church in Marikina City when I decided to visit MAMA CHITS, specifically located in JP Rizal Street, San Roque Marikina City, just to have a little merienda.

THE PLACE: The theme of the restaurant was that of the 60’s up until the 70’s. There were old pictures all around the wall which makes the place more interesting. I also loved the background music- not too rocky, not too classy. Just perfect for my ears. There are also some old stuffs around the Cafe- old bills, old machines, and many more

You must try their MAMA CHITS CHEESEBURGER MEAL – their specialty- for only, I think 135 pesos.

Mama Chit’s may be quite small but it would still be a good place for relaxation.

One saturday afternoon
Smile 2011-07-23

I decided to try Mama Chits in Malanday, Marikina City from recommendation I’ve heard from my cousin, RIZZA. we are with her friends as well. Because MAMA CHITS' specialties are burgers and sandwiches, I ordered their MAMA CHITS CHEESEBURGER . As I eat them through the meal, I wasn’t disappointed. The burger were perfectly grilled! Aside from the food, I must commend the decor and the interior design which will make you feel that you are on the 1960's. I don’t regret coming here. I will gladly recommend it to my friends too!. Thanks cous!
