Laing at Leslie's
Smile 2013-11-29

Although leslie's have been popular because of their bulalo, my family and i loves leslie not just because of that. We all love leslie's menu with a wide selection of filipino dishes, one of which is their laing. Leslie's laing brings back my mom's memory of her home town, bicol. Leslie's laing is creamy and spicy at the same time. We had more rice when we have this for lunch. It's so delicious and everyone enjoyed it.

Bulalo Special
Smile 2012-12-11

Bulalo - Special -Php 599.00

Bulalo from the south have been very popular with it's delicious soup and tender beef. I have been craving for bulalo now a days, good thing, Leslie's have a near branch that I dont have to go all the way to Tagaytay. We went to Alabang with my friends to have a sip of the hot soup of their bulalo. They were able to maintain the bulalo we loved from Leslie's Tagayatay.

LESLIE'S
Just OK 2012-01-26
Leslie’s is well-known for their bulalo but during our last visit, we decided to try out their other offerings such as their kare-kare, pinakbet and calamares.

The kare-kare serving included beef meat, ox tail and lots of beef skin stewed with a thick, sweet peanut sauce and topped with crushed peanuts and Baguio pechay. The sauce was not too sweet and suited our taste. It was served in a ceramic white bowl and with a side of shrimp bagoong for saltiness to counter the sweetness of the sauce. The service size was worth the price.

We also had the pinakbet with lechon kawali. The pakbet veggies included okra, ampalaya, sitaw, and eggplant slices. Also included was sliced kalabasa. The mix was sautéed and cooked in a salty sauce made with flavoured bagoong. To add flavour and protein, 3-4 slices of lechon kawali topped the dish.

We also ordered the calamares as breaded deep fried squid ring is the favourite of our daughter. The calamares was a bit pale and could have been more golden brown in color. It was not oily and the squid rings were very tender. The dish included a dip of mayo-catsup mix.

For the soup, we just requested bowls of complementary bulalo broth as Leslie’s is famous for bulalo.

Smile 2011-08-29
Its a another special Sunday ... Family Day...
We went to church with the whole Tulab family, after that we went to Leslie's to have a great dinner.

We ordered for Bulalo, crablets and beef steak. The food is really greats "yun lang mahal ng rice" hehehe. The ambiance is also good there are like nipa huts where we eat.

The bulalo stays hot and it is really delicious. I think we paid around 2,000.00 for the whole faamliy.

Leslie’s Experience
Smile 2011-07-15
We went to our tita in Alabang for our family reunion. All of us were happy because out tita will treat us to Leslie’s. They serve Filipino dishes and have a nice ambiance. The exterior is like an old house which makes you thinking that the dishes they serve is cooked in a traditional way. We ordered sinigang and a lot more. I was the one who suggested the sinigang because it is one of my favorite Filipino dishes. Their sinigang was good. It’s has a lot of vegetables and meat. The serving is good for 4-6 people. BUSOG is the word that summarizes our dining experience here in Leslie’s.

Buffet all you can :)

We always used to have meetings in our company. Honestly, I am attending 11 meetings in a week so our boss decided to treat us for dinner due to over stressed from work. He instructed me to make a reservation at Leslie's Alabang near our office. We went there at exactly 7pm and I forgot to tell the name for our table so our bosses had a hard time thinking what table I reserved, then later on they figured to say my name. Then, the waiter brought them to the table named after my name.hehe smile So I was bullied the whole night that I really meant to name it after my name. But honestly, I forgot to say the company's name. smile

Leslie's is a buffet serving resto. I had a hard time choosing what food to eat but what really striked me is their "Humba". It was so sweet that it is some sort of tickling my taste buds. Actually, all of their foods were amazing that my stomach which was battling out before was really occupied with mixed foods. Of course, we took some bottles of beer first before going home. smile

not so good Calamares :(
Cries 2010-06-18
*sorry I had to crop our faces out for my friend's privacy smile

We attended a very special event and had a heavy lunch but I was still hungry. Since I was craving for Calamares with Rice so we looked for a place that served that.

The Squid Rings were coated in a crispy batter and served with a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. The version that I tried here was not very good but beggars can't be choosers so I ate it anyway. What really made me mad was the undercooked rice that they gave me. Instead of being fluffy, it was almost crunchy. As a Filipino restaurant, you should pay very special attention to the taste and quality of the rice.

Thankfully, I was very satisfied by my sweet and slightly sour Green Mango Shake that was freshly and expertly made. I was just bothered by the fibers of the mango that was mixed into it and got stuck in between my teeth.

The next time that I visit this place, I will just stick to the Filipino classics like Sinigang, Adobo, etc. smile

Bulalo Overdrive
Smile 2010-06-08
We often grab a quickie with Leslie's whenever we roll in Tagaytay but unknown to most, they have two other branches situated in two other municipalities. This one in Alabang looks distinct from those of Tagaytay and of Cavite. It really looks like the Titanic if you know what I mean.

The Bulalo in Leslie's is superb to say the least! From the added vegetables to the simmering soup, the taste won't likely to disappoint you. The next dish worth mentioning is the Crispy Pata. True to it's name, it delivers the thunderous crispy skin to your mouth while soothing your taste buds with it's juicy meat. It's a wondrous combination to have those two dishes on the table like they were meant to be eaten together.

An unhealthy dose of both Bulalo and Crispy Pata should give you and your friends calorie high for the day/night. One quick note, just be sure to know what your supposed calorie intake is because your taste buds might get a ahead of your heart.

Best Bulalo out of Town
Smile 2010-05-17
One scorching hot afternoon, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Tagaytay and pig out. We're into trying "oldies but goodies" from different restaurants from in and around the metro to in search of the finest there is - from appetizers, to main entrees, hamburgers, desserts and everything and anything delectibly palatable.

This time, our destination brings us to Leslie's Viewsite. Leslie's have gone far and wide having branches to cater to their growing number of customers.

Leslie's is your typical Filipino restaurant serving home-cooked meals and specialties. I particularly love their Bulalo! I have considerable exposure to this dish and I tell you, this one's giving me that good 'ol beefy taste sans the greasy-after feel. It served hot with vegetables and I must say that this warrants my stamp of my approval.

There are others in their menu and I'm sure these taste great as well. But if you are out for the best Bulalo in town, then go ahead and splurge at Leslie's. This place is ideal for couples who want to enjoy fine dining less the stiff setting.

Pros: Very delicious and wide variety of home-cooked dishes to choose from

Cons: Quite heavy on the pocket and if you are from the North (QC area and the like, you may need to consider bringing your own transpo)

Over-all this is a gastronomical haven!
