KOREAN INVASION
Smile 2012-09-22 (Related Review)
Nowadays, people are getting hooked with Korean's fashion style, culture, teleseryes, movies especially food! Korea is well-known for kimchi, chopsticks, spicy dishes, tea and many more...

I’ve tried a lot of Korean restaurant, but there’s only one who captured my heart- KOREAN VILLAGE. There’s a lot of varieties for the main dish: PORK, BEEF, SEAFOODS and VEGGIES. No worries of making a mistake in choosing what to order because everything is amazingly delicious. Their main dish is best accompanied with Kimchi rice.

Great!

Great!

Kimchi rice!

If you're on a budget, you don't have to order drinks because the house water they serve has a distinct taste- refreshing and healthy!

Another perk is they give sweet fresh fruits! Usually Watermelon and Pineapple.

For only PHP500-800, your stomach will definitely be delighted!

Happy Tummy!

APPETIZER PA LANG, ULAM NA!
Smile 2012-09-22
Want to experience authentic Korean food without going to Korea?
It's here! Just turn your wheels to Nakpil St. in Malate and you will find KOREAN VILLAGE!

I discovered it from my grandmother, who's a korean. She used to work with them. Our family has been their customer for years already and I would say that every dining experience I had with them was really memorable.

So far, from my experience, it was the only restaurant that serve a lot of appetizers for FREE! Every time I eat there, they always have different set of appetizers. But, of course, Kimchi is always present! They have the BEST kimchi! APPETIZER PA LANG, ULAM NA!

Village of tasty foods!
Smile 2011-07-28

We were just food tripping that time, me and 2 other friends in Malate. It’s not really my favorite place, I really don’t like that much of Korean foods but because my friend is really craving for some Korean food that time, we tried the Korean Village. smile

Good thing Korean Village actually have good Korean and Japanese food selection. Authentic, perfectly presented, and tasty dishes. Well then good thing they also had Japanese food there or else I might crave for another batch of food after eating there. At reasonable price i could say, it was good enough. The service was as excellent as the food and while it was not a 'budget priced' restaurant. The staff are very friendly. And most of all unlimited appetizers .

Try their tempura, beef stew, and BBQ grill. But be ready to have a change of clothing because for sure you'll smell like BBQ after eating at this place. I might want to go back there again if I would crave for it sometime and for no choice offered and not so for my first choice.smile

Let's Get Cookin' at Korean Village...
Smile 2010-06-24
Why would you dine out and yet still do the cooking? Well, simply because it’s Korean Village style! tongue

At the streets of Malate, there is a restaurant named Korean Village, with a white façade, and a wooden theme inside. They have large black tables with electric frying pan at the middle. They not only offer Korean food, but also a cooking experience to their customers.

They have a number of dishes on their menu, mostly Korean. They have various marinated meat and seafood. You just need to order them and they will serve them raw, cut, and ready for frying. We have tried their pork barbecue and have enjoyed it. Well, part of the fun part is the cooking. You can hear the sizzling sound of the cooking, while turning the meat using chopstickschopstick and smelling the aroma of the food.

They also have cooked food including spicy noodles and soups. They serve them in wooden pots, hot and still steaming. They also have side dishes such as kimchi, spicy dilis, spinach and bean sprouts. They serve them while you wait for your main orders. They also have salads, desserts, and fruit-flavored ice cream.

The place may be a bit crowded during peak hours and a bit smoky once everyone started cooking the food. The service crew is also limited so it is best that you order everything from the start.

It may be a fun experience for families and groups. Most of the servings are for group sharing. I went there with my boyfriend and the 3 dishes we ordered are too much for both of us. lol
