Introduction
What started out as a small take-out sushi place in White Plains nine years ago has now grown into a thriving restaurant chain of over 30 branches, carrying Kitaro’s banner of excellent food and service.

Emerald avenue is not only known for the high buildings that home different companies and businesses but also for the different food establishments made available for people who work and pass by there. Hidden in the array of fast food chains and tall buildings was a small Japanese restaurant. It offered the usual dishes and of course fresh sushi and sashimi! Most Japanese food establishments taste the same, so there was nothing too special about the taste of their dishes here. The ser...

Kitaro Sushi in G/F Hanston Bldg, F. Ortigas Jr. Road (formerly Emerald Avenue), Ortigas Center, Pasig has a lot of culinary delights to offer. They mostly serve Japanese cuisines. I really enjoyed their California Maki, Spicy Salmon Gunkan Sushi and Seafood Chuukadon. You can enjoy these delicious treats at a price range of 150.00 pesos to 300.00 pesos. Despite that the prices are higher than usual, I will still definitely go back to KITARO f...

My friend is a teacher in PUP and he really loves eating Japanese foods. Aside from that he is also studying Japanese languaage, I really don't know what is so special in Japanese that he love it so much. So one day, he asked me out for lunch and just what I am expecting he treats me at a Japanese food - Kitaro Sushi. I have never been in this restaurant before, so I just ordered tempura and rice plus pineapple. I didn't like other Japanese foods specially sushi but te...

I belong to a barkada of 11 people at the office and most of them love Japanese food. I like Japanese food but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I love it. I guess it's just not my favorite type of food. Anyway, since my office friends love it so much, we often eat out at Kitaro. It's very close to our office building, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed (most of the time) and the members of the service crew are always nice and helpful. I like to start my meal with miso soup. ...

Every lunch time in Emerald Avenue in Ortigas is a struggle to decide where to eat. There are a lot to choose from but most of them, especially the fast foods, are always jam-packed with yuppies having their lunch. Kitaro is another choice if you have enough budget to eat out. Me and my officemates love to eat here usually after or during payday. I love the yakisoba and gyoza, my officemate loves california makki. Even if Kitaro has a lot of customers as well, at least their s...

I love having a hot serving of soup often. This time, I decided to eat at Kitaro for a hot bowl of ramen. I decided to go for one of their newest ramen choices from the Noodle Festival. I chose the seafood ramen for my dose of protein. The bowl was served hot - just the way I want it. It’s not scalding hot but not cold either. The bowl has enough shrimp pieces in it. The shrimps are cooked perfectly. There are also other ingredients such as crab sticks, carrots and spring onion. ...

Me and my friend Alexis planned to eat merienda. We both craved for Japanese Cuisine. A restaurant pops-up into our mind “kitaro”. Located at G/F Hanston Bldg, Emerald Avenue Ortigas Center Pasig.Kitaro is known for their sushi. But for this day we ordered California Maki. Their Maki is composed of Mango, Kani (Crab Stick), cucumber in mayonnaise and Ebiko (shrimp roe). When you taste it. The flavor of the mango is strong ad you will enjoy t...

chopstick A lunch with a friend in Kitaro, Emerald Branch gave me the opportunity to try out and compare its Chicken Teriyaki with the one I had enthused over in Tokyo, Tokyo Greenbelt 1 in a previous review. Both are delicious - but I'd have to say I'd prefer Kitaro's. Admittedly, it's being in a bento box makes it less expensive. The veggie servings are varied and plentiful than the one in Greenbelt 1. And when it comes to the taste of the chicken, Greenbelt's ge...

I’m not partial to Japanese food. Not that I don’t like it, but I tend to veer to the most basic cuisine of choice of most Filipinos – American, Italian, and Filipino, perhaps. That is, until one stressful night post-work eventually led me to Kitaro Sushi along Emerald Avenue in Ortigas Center. I have known Kitaro for years (remember their comic tv ad that ignite the attention of viewers, where a Samurai is about to aim an arrow at an apple on top of a man’...
