Gloria Maris

My girlfriend what’s something new, she’s not pregnant but she so choosy lately and she wants something to eat which she said “hindi pa nag-eexist sa pinas!” scary right.
At Paranaque, eating some burger inside the 7eleven store, I saw this Gloria Maris and told her if she wants to try that restaurant, and guess what, she immediately said “tara mukhang masarap” while a big bite of burger still on her mouth.
She ordered the asado rice topping and a black gulaman plus a sliced fruits for her dessert – WOW, your really hungry – I tasted some of her order and I find it GOOD! It was delicious compared to what I have ordered. Very yummy and fresh cooked!
And for me, I ordered their beef tenderloin Chinese style. It was good, beef tender and perfect with the sauce but I don’t find any Chinese style in there, I got confuse analyzing the name and the dish. To make it short, she likes the restaurant and wants to come back again there, but for me my wallet wants to stay home.

In case you haven't noticed, I love Chinese food! Growing up, we used to eat at Chinese restaurants almost every weekend. It may have been a simple practice but for me, it was a special treat. I looked forward to spending time with my family and enjoying hearty and delicious food

Since I had just come back from Cebu, my mom and I had a quiet dinner at Gloria Maris. We had the Yang Chow rice. It tasted OK but I found a strand of hair. I immediately called the attention of the waiter, who promptly replaced our order.The Beef Broccoli was great. The beef was tender and juicy. It had a rich and robust flavor and it was complemented well by the fresh and crunchy broccoli. The sauce was thick and savory.The Salt and Pepper Squid had soft squid chopped into bite-size pieces and coated with a light batter. It was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was seasoned well, just the right blend of spiciness and saltiness.The food was sumptuous and I am looking forward to going back to Gloria Maris

My workmates and I were really thankful when we found out that Gloria Maris Pergola was offering combo meals to their customers. When we finally got the chance to eat there again, we were more than eager to try their combo meals. The package looks fulfilling already: viand, rice, pancit, dimsum and buchi for dessert. Sounds heavy right?
My workmate and I opted to have fish fillet. I had it in taosi sauce. My workmate didn’t like the taosi sauce so she requested if they could make it sweet and sour instead. The staff said yes, they can serve it in sweet and sour. You see, this is what we like about Gloria Maris. Their menu is not only limited to what you see on their menu list. They can personalize it upon the request of the customers.
The fish fillet was of course delicious. And the whole meal was satisfying. We didn’t even finish everything. The pancit and rice combo was just too heavy for me.
It is always a joy to eat at Gloria Maris Pergola, not only because of the food, but also because of the wonderful staff. Believe me when I say they have the most accommodating staff.
My Php 130 was well spent. I can’t wait to try the other combo meals. Or maybe I should eat peking duck again?

PHP 130(Lunch)

There's always a pinoy saying that goes, "Ang pansit ay pampahaba ng buhay," so my mom cooks pancit often whenever there's an occasion especially birthdays. But during my son's 2nd birthday, we weren't able to buy ingredients for pancit. So I looked at the flyers that we have at home and then I came across Gloria Maris flyer. I saw in their menu that they offer birthday noodles. Honestly speaking, we never tried any birthday noodles from Chinese restaurants so we're quite excited to try it for the first time. It was also then that I realized that they deliver! So, I immediately placed 3 orders of birthday noodles and I told them that I need them to be delivered by 12 noon and they did! At exactly 12 o'clock, we got the noodles. My family loved the noodles and there were enough left for dinner because 3 orders apparently are too much for 8 people to consume in just one sitting.

In conclusion, the birthday noodles of Gloria Maris is a must try whether there's an occasion or not.
