An All-Seafood Lunch at Gerry's Grill
Smile 2012-10-12
In an attempt for a healthier diet, we recently decided to go have an all-seafood lunch at Gerry's Grill, and everything went according to plan. Well, almost...

Starting off with Gery's Grill Tahong ala Pobre (P 165), tender, succulent mussels in spicy sauce with loads of crisp fried garlic. Perfect starter, even better with a few beers...

Crispy Pla-Pla (P 215), unbelievably crispy and full of flavor, with a side of enasaladang talong, great with garlic fried rice.

Grilled Blue Marlin Steak (P 355), tender, juicy, perfectly grilled.

Grilled Baby Pusit (P 285), much softer and more tender than the larger squid, enhanced by the sweet soy marinade and grilled smoky flavor.

Grilled Tuna Belly (P 265/300g), juicy and flavorful, always a winner.

And then it happened. The table beside us ordered some Lechon Kawali (P235), and we eventually succumbed. It's nearly impossible to resist Gerry's Grill's classic Lechon Kawali.

Great food and great value, always a winning combination. And yes, it is possible to go for an all seafood lunch...we just got sidetracked temporarily but we will do another attempt soon...

More Than Just A Beer Joint
Just OK 2012-09-19

For those who love to drink beer, after a tiring day at work the next stop is most probably a place to chill out with beer buddies. Gerry’s Grill serves food that will whet your appetite. The wafting smell of cooking food that fills the air is enough to cause those gastric juices to churn out of expectation for the meals that you will be served with later on.

At present, Gerry’s Grill is a nice place to hang out especially when you near Channel 2. Gerry’s Grill Crispy Pata will always be one of my favourite meals. I love their squids cooked in sizzling plates. If you would like to ask my daughter she would probably tell you her favourite dish is Bulalo since she loves soup. Fried rice served in a platter will always be a good match to the dishes that I have mention especially when you are celebrating a joyful occasion.

Gerry's sinigaaang! :)))
Smile 2012-07-24
I cannot resist lutong bahay foods! And yes, that is the reason why I ate 5x more at my home than at restaurants. For me, nothing beats the classic lutong bahay Filipino food. And that is the reason why whenever we dine at Gerry's grill, sinigang will always be my first order. Gerry's grill will always be on our list whenever we are deciding on where to eat. Not just because Gerry's grill offers variety of wonderful dishes but also because it is a dining place that offers to satisfy your food cravings (I really love their fruit shakes) and it is a great place to chill out with your family and friends. smile

Smile 2012-05-23
It was such a great experience dining in at Gerry’s Grill in Tomas Morato corner Eugenio Lopez Streets Quezon City. It is indeed a must try restaurant. The last time I went here, I was with my good friends and we decided to have a mini get-together. We ordered lots of their Filipino cuisines And as we eat it through the meal, I was not disappointed. The food were all good. Aside from the delicious treats that they offer, I would highly recommend Gerry’s Grill in Tomas Morato for its fast service and excellent customer services. The crews are all approachable, fast and very enthusiastic. Once you requested for anything, they will surely provide it will minimal time. The place was also quite and neat. Chairs and tables are all in good condition. Two thumbs up for Gerry’s Grill! I will surely come back in here!

Softest Kare-Kare
Smile 2012-04-03
It was Sunday and I woke up very early to think that it was a weekend. I invited my friend to have breakfast but she replied to message after a few hours.

 Gerry's Grill

We decided to just have lunch at Gerry's Grill after mass. She said that she's craving for Kare-Kare. I asked her why Gerry's Grill. I mean there are other famous restaurants that specializes in Kare-Kare dish. Then she told me that obviously I haven't tried Kare-Kare at Gerry's so this was the perfect time to do so. tongue

   Beef Kare-Kare

Their Beef Kare-Kare was overflowing with sauce. It has tons of vegetables and the beef including the ox-tripe was really soft. I didn't have a hard time cutting them into smaller pieces.

The peanut sauce was all right but I think it lacked a little bit of salty flavor but it was fine. The sauce was thick. I loved their Bagoong because it was sweet. I like sweet and spicy bagoong.

My friend was right. Gerry's Kare-Kare was delicious. Five spoons! lol

Kare-Kare
Smile 2012-04-02

 Gerry's Grill

A Casual Dining Restaurant that serves Favorite Filipino dishes all day since the 90's.

   Beef Kare-Kare

Price: P285

Description: Beef Kare-Kare is made of beef, vegetables, covered with peanut sauce and served with Shrimp Paste (Bagoong).

Personal Review: Gerry' Kare-Kare is very delicious. The peanut sauce was thick. Actually, just eating rice and the peanut sauce is already enough. It has the softest ox-tripe that I have ever tasted. I even liked some of the vegetables to think I don't like vegetables that much.

I enjoyed the Shrimp Paste (Bagoong) because it wasn't salty. It was actually sweet in flavor.

Experience Gerry's grill
Just OK 2011-09-21
This picture was taken at Gerry’s grill at tomas morato. I have enjoyed here in this restaurant because they have cool store concept. I think it is the biggest among its branches. We had ordered my favorite sisig and chicken. I really like this placebecause you can watch sports here like basketball. I remembered we watched the final game of Alaska versus San Miguel.

Gerry's Grill for dinner
Smile 2011-08-24
Gerry’s Grill has always been one of my favorite Filipino restaurants when it comes to affordable yet delectable food. It’s Wednesday night when me and my sister and her boyfriend went to Morato. We headed there to have dinner and boozed the night. Gerry’s Grill in Morato is one of the biggest among other branches. When we got inside, I was stunned by the interior. It was really eye catching. We seated on our table and ordered our food. We had SISIG, CHICKEN and I forgot the other one but I’m sure it’s pork. No doubt on the taste of the food, it’s appetizing and you can’t refuse having another cup of rice. Gerry’s Grill never fails me on their food and service. I will give them thumbs up for having great food in affordable prices. smile

Class Reunion at Gerry's
Just OK 2010-06-18
My elementary classmates got together at facebook and planned a reunion at Gerry's Grill Tomas Morato. Though not a lot of us came, we we're so glad to see each other after so many years... lol

Overall, dining experience was good. The food was good, I liked their sisig and tuna belly. The staff were accommodating though it takes time for them to bring your order and one has to wait, if they ask for water or iced tea refill. The place is very big and can accommodate over 100 persons, so it is ideal for large gatherings!

Grilled Sunday
Just OK 2010-06-07
It was a planned Sunday.

I met with my high school buddies we decided to watch Sex & the City 2 in Trinoma. After the movie, we decided to have a late dinner since we haven't eaten dinner yet. We ended up in dining in at Gerry's Grill ABS-CBN.

We ordered the following with my corresponding comments:

Bagoong Rice - don't order because it's like fried rice, it's not really bagoong rice. The servings is big though. Roughly 3-4 persons can eat it. shocked

Chili Cheese Sticks - i really don't eat it, but they failed to finish it because it was really spicy! The last time that they have ordered the chili was tolerable, but this time it was not! We ended up wasting the food. huffy

Chicken Skin - Don't order. Serving is really small for Php 95.

Chopseuy - it was really good, there were lots of vegetables, pork slices and shrimp... YUM! bowl

Pork Sisig - it's their specialty. Need do I say more?! bowl

Lechon Kawali - the cuts are really thick, it's juicy! Really good with rice on it! bowl

Kilawin - I don't eat this but my friends say it was good! So, I will take their word for it! tongue

It was jammed-packed on a late Sunday night!

There last order is 12 mn on a Sunday night, so I suggest that you come in early. The lighting is good, it was very relaxing and inviting if you just want to chill out with your friends.
