Spaghetti ala Gerry
Smile 2013-10-24
Gerry's Grill equals home cooked meals and delicious barbecued meats in my mind. They also serve delicious pulutan type dishes since they also serve beer. In fact, a lot of people see it as a place to have a good drinking time. So for lunch, I was worried of what to order for my child at Gerry's. Gladly, they have a section on their menu for kid's! I ordered the spaghetti with chicken meal for my little girl and a glass of ice tea.

   Kids Meal (Php 165)

The spaghetti was the perfect meal for my daughter. It was served with crispy (slightly oily) fried chicken that was cooked through. I look for cooked chicken just to be safe because it's easy to under cook chicken. The was good, tasted like the spaghetti cooked at home lol

It was such a great experience dining at Gerry’s Grill in SM City Marikina, Marcos Highway, Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City. If you have not been here yet, I would recommend for you to come and try their delicious treats. You can visit them at the ground level of the establishment. Liempo
Smile 2012-08-30
I was really satisfied when I dined in at Gerry's Grill . It’s one of the best restaurants in SM City Marikina, Marcos Highway, Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City. The food was appetizing and very dainty. We ordered Grilled Pork Liempo. Although I loved grilled foods I wasn’t a big fan of over cokked or well done meats. I like it medium rare so that the juiciness stays. I just forgot to tell the crew so it is not their fault anyway. The food tasted so well despite that it has been cooked well. I enjoyed my night with Ayen. I’d still go back to Gerry's Grill located in SM City Marikina, Marcos Highway, Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City.

A Delightful Dinner at Gerry's Grill
Smile 2012-08-30

When it comes to Crispy Pata and Sisig, one restaurant stands among the rest, at least for me. And that is none other than Gerry's Grill.

My friends and I decided to try our their branch in Calumpang, Marikina. Forget diet, we all agreed to feast into their crispy pata. Aside from Crispy Pata, we ordered Sinigang na Bangus Belly to go along with it. Couple with Fried Rice, some smoothies and drinks, the stage is set for a perfect meal!

I love how their Crispy Pata is perfectly cooked. Their Sinigang na Bangus is equally good. It is indeed a perfect dining experience.

Chichabits at Gerry's
Smile 2012-06-12

   Tokwa at Baboy

   Chichabits

   Combined

Price Php 155 for the Tokwa at Baboy and Php 215 for the Chichabits

Description Pork cubes with deep fried tofu in a sauce made from soy sauce and vinegar. Chichabits is chicharon done Gerry's style.

Personal Review We went to Gerry's for dinner but had to wait for our companions. In the meantime, we ordered a couple of Gerry's famous appetizers.

I ordered the Tokwa at Baboy and the staff recommended us to try the Chichabits, chicharon done Gerry's style. The tokwa at baboy was worth less than 200 pesos but the serving was definitely worth more than that! It had huge cubes of deep fried tokwa and several pork cuts too. It was delicious and best paired with a bottle of beer! It also had a separate bowl of their soy sauce and vinegar sauce to dip in.

The chichabits also tasted great. They served it with vinegar. The chichabits tasted like a mix of deep fried chicken skin and innards. It was both crispy and delicious, not oily as some chicharons tend to be.

I like this branch since it's big and the staff are nice. They try to serve their guests immediately even if they have lots of diners.

Family time at Gerry's!
Smile 2012-01-25
Another bonding time again during the holidays, but this time with the whole family. smile After going to church, we headed to Gerry's Grill to have our family dinner. We seldom do this complete family bonding time due to work, school and sometimes one is not available. This time, we had the opportunity to be together as one family. smile

And so we ordered garlic adobo shreds for our appetizer, fried chicken, pinakbet, Kaldereta and sizzling pork sisig. smile hmm yum!

The best for me was the appetizer, aside from its crispy delicious taste, the garlic and shred like appearance made it more perfect. The "adobo-ish" taste was really good, as if you were just eating your favorite chips. tongue The main courses on the other hand were also superb. The kaldereta which is a bit spicy was also delicious and malinamnam. It has a taste that won't let go in your mouth. Tamang tama lang ang pagkakatimpla, hindi masyadonng maalat o matabang. The chicken and sisig were also great however I find it like usual lang. It tasted good though but the adobo and kaldereta tasted more delicious. smile As for the last course, I am not a fan of pinakbet, that is why I didn't try it but according to my mom, it was also good. It wasn't to salty either. It was just okay.

It was definitely a good night for the whole family. Even though we waited for some time for us to be seated, it was all worth it. We enjoyed our dining experience. The only thing that I noticed was the place. It was kinda masikip.. I don't know maybe because there are so many people eating and waiters were like going from here to there.

Over all, it was a good dining experience. I would definitely go back here. Plus, the staff were very nice. smile

Gerry's Grill is a must-try restaurant in SM City Marikina, Marcos Highway, Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City.. I am a big fan of their Baked Mussels and Blue Marlin Steak which cost from 200 to 330 pesos. The last time I ate there, I tried their Pork Spare Ribs and Inihaw na Pusit and they taste heavenly good. I wanted to try their Beef Kaldereta but I didn’t get the chance. I called it a DATE. It was really a date his family. It was Sunday then when the family decided to dine in at Gerry's Grill located in SM Marikina, Calumpang, Marikina City. I suggest you should try their crab rice. It was indeed amazing!. No need for extra ulam!. It's all in one!. I especially loved their Chicken Lollilop paired with Garlic Mayo Dip. Aside from these delicious treats, prices were not expensive after all. I highly recommend Gerry's Grill for lunch, even if there's no celebration at all!.

First Expensive Seafood Dining Experience
Smile 2011-07-25
Why “expensive” seafood dining experience? It was when my parents treated me at Gerry’s Grill in SM Marikina for my 19th birthday. We had simple yet quite expensive (for me) celebration at the said food establishment. We ordered baked oysters with butter, grilled squid, prawns, mussels and rice of course, plus bottomless iced tea for our drinks.

For me, the baked oysters were the best among the foods that were served to us, in fact iyon ang naubos kaagad kasi nagustuhan ng lahat. The butter that was melted on top of those baked oysters really enhanced the flavour. It is like the butter hugged the oyster with its subtle taste that’s why it tasted so good. The other viands were good too but not like the baked oysters. The grilled squid was soft and was grilled just right, minsan kasi napapasobra ang pag-ihaw nagiging mahirap nguyain ‘yung pusit eh. The prawns were sautéed in garlic and butter and were cooked in high heat like just seconds to a minute from the time they were put in the pan. We enjoyed eating the prawns with our bare hands that we were like small children – licking our fingertips at the end of every piece. The mussels were served with soup wherein I have tasted a spice that really enhanced too the flavour of the dish – the ginger. This root crop really brings out the taste of the seafood dish especially when it comes to shellfishes.

Gerry's Grill
Smile 2011-06-28
It’s another family night and we are at our favorite restaurant of all time, Gerry’s Grill. Since, my mom’s brother and wife, basically my aunt and uncle were going back to Dubai and they requested that we eat there.

As always, we order the same set of food all the time because it’s just simply irresistible. I was not even able to take many shots because if I did, I’d end up with no food on my plate hahaha.

First on the list of our favorite dish is their scallop. It has a serving of 6 shells all smothered with cheese. If you can see the image, there are only three left hahaha. They did not even give me a chance to take a picture of it.haha

Next, is their dinakdakan, a dish resembling bicol express or sisig? Something like that, but instead of sizzling its served in a regular plate, the pork covered with mayo, raw onions and lots of chilli.

Then, there is the pusit, which I’m not much a fan of, but the adults love it.
Other dishes that we ordered were beef casserole, Nilagang Baka and tuna belly, most of which are really Pinoy dishes surely to be missed when you are abroad.

For dessert we had Halo Halo, Buko Pandan and Leche Flan.

Family Lunch at Gerry's Grill
Smile 2010-10-17
It a Sunday, and Sunday means family day and on Sunday’s we would go to Church as a family and after we would have lunch at home but this time we went to SM Marikina to have our lunch because my Aunt and her leaving for Dubai that afternoon.

We got there at around 12 noon, just in time for lunch and just in time for lots of people to have lunch as well. So when we reached Gerry’s Grill that is located near Cyberzone, there were around 2 groups waiting for a table and we were 3rd. While waiting they checked out the menu to choose what will be ordering.

To our surprise, in just 5 minutes we got a place to sit, it seemed like people ate and ran haha. We got seated next to the bar and we were immediately approached by the waiter. He looked a little funny and all smiles while getting our order. He took our order and even though we kept on changing our order the waiter was still all jolly and funny and he kept on repeating our orders.

After 10 – 15 minutes our orders arrived, talk about fast service even though there were a lot of people inside the restaurant. Our orders were:

Pork Sisig – as always, it is always part of our meal every time we eat outside. This Sisig did not have any egg in it or at least it was not served with a raw egg. It came in a hot plate which was already mixed. The pork was cooked to perfection, chopped into small pieces and was flavorful. I added some toyo and chili sauce to it to add more flavor but as it is tasted perfect still. It was not oily at all and it was salty and a little touch of sweetness, just right.

Garlic Chicken Mushroom – it was the specialty of the month. It was chicken placed in a hot plate, smothered with mushroom gravy sauce, garlic bits and strips of vegetables. The skin had all the flavors and the meat in it was juicy and was flavorful as well and they were right it is their specialty as it tasted awesome.

Chili Cheese Sticks – my cousin and I ordered this as we liked spicy food but this was an exception. It was super hot haha. I could not handle it, although it tasted delicious as it had melted cheese and one long strand of green Jalapeño and white sauce to go with. I liked how it tasted but it was really hot even if I added a lot of the sauce.

Baked Scallops – this dish are Scallops baked with cheese on top of it. Scallop is a fan like shaped shell with meat in the middle, which is the yummy and edible part of the dish. I like this as the meat is not slimy at all and compliments well with the melted cheese.

Inihaw na Pusit – Another dish that was served in a hot plate. The squid was not tough to chew at all. It was tender and delicious when dipped in toyo and it may seem like it had some burnt parts it did not taste burnt at all.

Other dishes that they ordered that I was not able to have a taste where Puso ng Saging and Bulalo Soup.

For drinks we ordered Buko Juice, Ripe Mango Shake and Green Mango Shake.

All in all we had a great lunch, the place was packed with people, but the staff was on the go, constantly serving the people inside the restaurant. A little cramped up but the ambiance was perfect as it was not too stuffy or too cold and the restaurant had quite a high ceiling, which made the place look a little more spacious.
