Cara Mia Gelateria
Smile 2013-02-24
It's amazing how Amici's Gelato technology merged with Red Ribbon's cake heritage and created Cara Mia Gelateria. One of the top go-to places when you're craving for gelato or ice cream cakes!
If you're wondering what the difference of gelato and ice cream is, well, gelato is an Italian version of ice cream. It's healthier, because it has less fat content and is made with more milk.
It's also thicker and creamier and compact because there is less air content in gelato compared to ice cream, it's usually fresher too because gelato is made in smaller batches.

Caramel Gelato in a cone (Scoop: 60PhP)
I ordered a scoop of Caramel Gelato. It was really sweet and delicious. You can really taste the creaminess and richness of gelato compared to ice cream and you can tell the difference because gelato is really more compact than ice cream. It was great to have, and I highly recommend this to gelato lovers.

Good gelato
Smile 2013-01-17
My mom has a thing for gelatos and whenever we'd pass by Caramia, she really has to get some. They have a wide range of flavors and my nephew likes tagging along so he can choose a new flavor just about every time. As of this moment, my mom is really into the choc nut flavor and the red velvet gelato. She kept on craving for it since it's not as expensive as the others like it.

Caramia goodness
Smile 2013-01-14

Eating wouldn't be complete without the dessert. So one day while I was visiting my girlfriend in Taft, we decided to head to Caramia in Robinson's Ermita. I have been eyeing on this store for so long and now that I was given this chance, I took it. I ordered the Mango Sans Rival, and glad that I did because I enjoyed it a lot. This is not an ordinary cake, mind you, this is a gelato cake that makes it more precious. The taste is just fantastic. Just make sure that when you will try this, you should consume it immediately because it melts fast smile

Caramia!
Smile 2012-10-24
After our dined in experience in bonchon we decided to visit Caramia in Robinson's Place Manila, Midtown Wing, Pedro Gil cor. Adriatico Sts., Ermita, Manila to have our dessert. We ordered Pistaccio Cioccolato for only Eight Five Pesos per slice. This restaurant offers a wide range of Cakes, Gelatos, Affogatos and Pastries. They are well known with their desserts and refreshments, the cake was great and it was so good and 1 slice of cake is not enough for me but we need keep my figure haha. We loved their dishes most especially in their sets of desserts. We enjoyed our sweet treat her in Caramia. The place also was so cozy and the ambiance is so relaxing and they had a lot of guests that time. I rate this restaurant a score of 8 out of 10!

A taste of passion goodness :)
Smile 2012-10-05
I just love the cakes here in caramia that I just can't avoid having a slice of it. I came to robinson's place manila

to just hang out with my friends for some movies and dinner. I came thirty minutes early before the said time

so that I can have a little sweet break at caramia. I looked long and hard on what piece of cake that I'm going

to eat. Luckily for me that it took me just one look before I realize what cake I would picked and it was one of

my favorites. smile

I picked a mango cake(I think) which I really like because of its subtle taste of mango and sweetness from the inner

center of the cake. I love the simplicity of the flavor because its creamy and has that mango tang which I love

on my cake. I enjoyed every bit out of it and it didn't take me long before I finished the whole piece of cake. I wished

to have more but my friends have already arrived. Maybe next time I guess. tongue

CARAMIA GELATERIA
Smile 2012-04-13
As we all know, Gelato is known for its exquisite texture and taste though its quite pricey. But it is really worth trying. At Caramia, what it tastes like is better than what it looks like. I have tried a lot of gelatos already and so far Caramia, for me was one of the best gelato parlors in Manila. I ordered New York Cheesecake while Mom ordered Toffee Almond Roca and our helper ordered Cioccolato. The texture was really fine it subsides with your tongue. As a fan of New York cheesecake flavors, i loved my ice cream. There was a hint of cakey bits. The toffee almond roca was even better. It was a bit powdery which made it really good. Each scoop costs Php70. While a pint varies from Php195-250 and a Tub costs from Php490 - Php500+. this is the link to the full review --> http://ashleysilva.blogspot.com/2012/04/caramia-food-look-book.html

Caramia!
Smile 2012-02-29
I can already feel the heat of summer approaching. When i arrived at Robinson's Place, i immediately looked for an ice cream spot because of the sweltering heat. I saw Caramia, and i was attracted by the colorful flavors of the ice cream. I chose the coffee flavored gelato and i wasn't disappointed with my choice. The gelato was creamy, refreshing and delicious!

Cake for my 25th Birthday
Smile 2012-02-23
I was really satisfied when I received my cake from my Jobs DB Family from Caramia. It is one of the best cake & pastry shop in town. The cake they ordered for me was caramel. It was really delicious. Not too sweet, the bread is moist and creamy. On my next birthday, Caramia is indeed topping my list. I will also recommend it to my family, friends & relatives.

Gelato GV!!! :)
Smile 2012-01-27 (Related Review)
Move over ice cream, gelato is the new in-thing. In case you're wondering what's the difference between gelato and ice cream, gelato is a healthier choice because it uses less of the bad stuff that ice cream has. Since people today are becoming more health-conscious, people would rather have a scoop of gelato than a scoop of manong's dirty ice cream. Speaking of gelato, I have the exact place that you should go to if you're craving for it. The name of the place is Cara Mia.I've known this place since the Amici days. There was no Cara Mia back then, so the gelatos were still part of Amici's menu. Now, Amici has decided to separate it's Italian food from it's gelato, so they created Cara Mia. And, to add more offerings to the new brand, they added in gelato cakes as well. I would love to have one of this for my birthday. Sadly, it melts quickly so you have to rush it to the birthday party if you're planning on buying one. The cashier at one Cara Mia branch once suggested to bring a cooler if you have a car (talk about hassle). So, for this trip at the Robinsons Place branch we just wanted some GV dessert. I was with some friends and we just finished eating dinner. We decided to head on over to Cara Mia to have delicious gelato dessert. We ordered the strawberry and the tiramisu flavor. My friends actually love strawberry ice cream, so it was obvious that they were gonna pick that flavor. I actually loved the tiramisu the first time I tasted it, so I decided to have a scoop of that. What's nice about Cara Mia gelato is that it's so close to the original taste. Their tiramisu is super close to the taste of the original tiramisu. What's even more amazing is that it's not super sweet, so there's no 'umay' factor when you eat it. The strawberry gelato is also delicious. It's even better than the strawberry ice creams of Selecta and Nestle. If there was a Cara Mia outside our house, I would be there everyday for dessert.Cara Mia is the perfect Italian dessert. It's delicious and quite affordable at the same time. For a hot sunny day, I wouldn't think twice on getting a scoop or two of their lovely gelato. tongue

Cara Mia made my day!
Smile 2012-01-15
Cara Mia is just the perfect hang-out place for a hot summer day. Just a spoon of their gelato will make your worries go away and stay happy. In fact, they don’t just serve sumptuous and irresistibly good gelatos, they serve wonderfully prepared meals as well.

We ordered the following dishes:
1.Salsicce al Forno (P195)- This European delight is served with 2 eggs, foccacia bread, hashbrown and tomato. With this extras alone, you'll definitely feel full already. Their homemade Italian Sausages is good, but not impressive.
2.Mango Jubilee (P60) – This is mango paradise! The sweetness is just right!
3.Twin Chocolate Mousse (P80) –A slice of this gelato cake indeed made my day. The fusion of white chocolate mousse with the moist chocolate cake is just perfect. It’s definitely a double treat.

CARA MIA GELATERIA
Smile 2011-10-21
Cara Mia is the perfect place for authentic Italian pizza, pasta and gelato. Their pastas are just as good and the servings are much larger now. One of my friends told me about this resto. Too lovely that I had to ask people from office what it was and so they told me that it was a cake from another well-known pastry shop. Since I am a sweet addict, I immediately ask him to go and dine with me at Cara Mia. They have the price that is affordable even to students, P55.00 per scoop of gelato smile

Caramia Gelateria
Just OK 2011-06-25

Caramia Gelateria was established when the former owners of Red Ribbon (before it was sold to Jollibee) bought the Italian restaurant called “Amici.”. Amici’s gelato technology was enhanced and merged with Red Ribbon’s cake legacy. Caramia’s Gelato Cakes then became the result of Amici gelato and Red Ribbon cakes combined.

At Cara Mia,they also serve an assortment of cakes

Well, the second time I spotted Caramia Gelateria was at The Promenade, having previously seen another branch at Robinson’s Galleria. This time, I decided to give in to my curiosity so I convinced a friend to have a cone with me.

NOCCIOLA – 75php a scoop/100grams
I finally decided on getting Nocciola. Nocciola is a hazelnut gelato and one of the all-time favorite classic Italian desserts. I liked it for its creamy texture coupled with hazelnut bits, except for the fact that it may have been overly sweet for my taste as my throat became a tad tickly afterwards. It was nothing that could not be washed down by water, though.

COOKIES AND CREAM – 75php a scoop/100grams
My friend, who ordered Cookies and Cream, didn’t complain, but mentioned it was just like any typical cookies and cream flavored variant – nothing extraordinary. It wasn’t really as special as the other gelato places I’ve tried but as I’ve said, it wasn’t bad, either. Worth mentioning are the reasonable prices and friendly staff.

CaraMia
Smile 2010-10-11
I was at Robinson's Place Ermita waiting for my husband to fetch me when I suddenly saw this well-lighted place in Midtown wing. It was seems like a new cafe so I checked it out.

It was CaraMia Gelateria... The minimalist, almost all neutral interior caught my attention, then the gelato and gelato ice cream on their cake display made it more inviting. So without hesitation, I joined the somewhat long queue with bunch of college students then ordered for the following:

1. Tiramisu Gelato - The taste of this gelato made me thought of heaven. It was perfect for my gelato lover taste buds. It was so creamy, but yet not so sweet, and it has the "it melts in your mouth" feeling. The cake bits and chocolates made it more delectable.

2. Pizza Margherita - My stomach was a bit rumbling when I arrived at Rob Place so I've decided to order for this pizza. It has nice tasting pizza sauce, oozing cheese and soft and crunchy thin crust. It was perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices that would make you finish the whole plate.

3. Ciocolate - This was ordered by my husband when he arrived. Being a chocolate lover, I've already expected him to order for a chocolate-flavored gelato. So he ordered for Ciocolate. It was tasted so good, very chocolatey and the chocolate bits also intensified its flavor.

*Reminder: House water/purified water is not able in their place, if you'll get thirsty, you have no choice but to order a bottled water from them which costs around PhP 30. Nice strategy though.
