When Aling Lucy's recently moved to a nearby building, which looked bigger and nicer from outside, and we were curious to try it out.
The perfect opportunity came during last Father's day. It was drizzling and we were lucky to find the last remaining parking spot in front of the store. Inside, the place did become bigger and cozier with the tables being separated by dividers. (It felt like eating at home without having to cook and wash the dishes.) We were a bit disappointed to find out that it still wasn't airconditioned because it looked airconditioned from outside. But they compensated by installing air coolers, which worked fine for a rainy evening.
Their ordering system remained the same - order and pay first before sitting down. But now they assign number signs so that the staff can easily find your table.
The price is still affordable. We spent less than 600 pesos for a group of 8(6 adults + 2kids)! We had palabok, tokwa't baboy, tapsilog and lechon kawali with softdrinks.
The food is still great! My kids finished their palabok serving without being coerced while we had to restrain our dad from eating the lechon kawali because he hasn't taken his meds yet.
Not bad at all for a father's day celebration.
