Every celebration at the office that we have, lumpia and pancit are always present so I ask my colleague where did they bought the delicious food and she replied at
. So decided to dine and really try some of the food they offered. I have observed that the interiors are simple and minimalist. No pretensions whatsoever.
Their food is great and affordable too, very Filipino tasting.
Here’s what we ordered:
Shanghai fried rice was just a simple fried rice. Nothing more nothing less. Obviously we have a very slow start here.
Pancit is my least favorite from the bunch. The pancit in Manila Foodshoppe tasted just very ordinary to me. I find it too dry and bland for my taste. I prefer the pancit guisado from my auntie Fe even my officemate at the office like the yummy style in cooking.
Atlas, I like this chopsuey guisado because it has lots of broccoli and cauliflower.
For you to enjoy more you better add some pepper or some soy sauce on it.
I like the lumpia shanghai because it’s like a siomai in lumpia wrapper
their shanghai is more compressed as compared to the stuffed loose ground beef served by other dimsum restaurant.
I have tasted different types of Fried Chicken so I have quite high standard of it, fried chicken served in Manila Foodshoppe was surprisingly good! I just loved it. It was cooked very well to the point that some may find it almost over-cooked but it was just perfect for me. The chicken skin was so crispy and the flavoring really went deep into the chicken meat. I recommend this one
Manila Foodshoppe’s edge among its competition due to its generous serving sizes for its affordable price. I will definitely go back here to enjoy home-cooked style Chinese food. Manila Foodshoppe is perfect for families, barkada or even dating your special someone.
